Would have preferred not to have buffet style breakfast, better to have table service and freshly cooked.

Reception and bar staff were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice river view. Pool and sauna were excellent. Evening meal in the brasserie also very good. Breakfast staff were very poor. Forgot our tea and toast and eventually, when reminded, brought tea that was well stewed and toast that was stone cold. Spoiled what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, Xmas day was made very special by the attention to detail, from the bucks fizz for breakfast, to mulled wine and mince pies, the buffet at night was amazing with its variety. We had a problem, which was dealt with quietly and efficiently, the staff seemed to care. We had to change rooms, because I found the bed to be lumpy and hard, I suffer from back ache, so the mattress was not suitable for me.

the spa/swimming facilities were brilliant, if you wanted a minute to relax you a few hours it is open all day. we had the whole place to ourselves for a little while and it was brilliant. the room was lovely, spacious and the bed was massive! we waited a while for our dinner the one night, and the restraunt was quite cold, but they did apologise and made us feel at ease. one thing i would say is to ask for a river view if you can, we did ask but unfortunately we didnt get one. instead we had a view of the block of flats at the back of the hotel. but that cannot be helped

I liked the spa-bit, breakfast buffe and the location a lot. The staff wasnt too good, not too welcoming or nice. The breakfast staff was terrible, first I got white burnt toast when I asked for brown and then the waitress kept trying to take my plate away even though I told her I wasnt finished.

Fine Invernesian hospitality, the staff are friendly and helpful. This is a comfortable hotel, in a very good location for a variety of activities. Inverness castle is across the river, and the centre of town is but a minute or two walk away. The train station is also within walking distance. There is a fine view to be had from the front of the hotel. Although our visit left little time for recreational activities, I am sure we will return for a break some time soon.

It was just a nice relaxing time with friendly staff, great pool and spa, okay food and very near the shops, river, castle ect. Most of the staff are realy helpful and friendly. It is also nice when we go again and see that some of the staff are still there. On the whole it is a realy good hotel to stay at with just a few small problems. But to be honest, there is always something that you won't be 100% happy with in any hotel and best western are one of the good ones. We will certainly keep coming back. Especially to The Palace at Inverness. We were in room 105 and our folks were in 104. It was very noisy in the morning with food deliveries ect. The heater in the bathroom doesn't turn down which is great in winter but very uncomfortable in summer. We also find the bar prices very high and the bar staff are hardly ever there during the day. We always have to go to reception and ask for someone to serve us drinks. No problem in the evening as the bar is always manned, It would be good if the menu was at reception a bit earlier too so that if we didn't like what was on it that night we could book a meal somewhere else.

Perfect location, excellent swimming pool/gym. There were no extra charges for room service breakfast as we booked inclusive.Helpful staff. Good taxi company is recommended by hotel.Nice eating places just next door and also a Starbucks in hotel as well as own restaurant. Only one suggestion maybe a handrail for less able bodied people could be useful at entrance although there is one further along

Clean, easy to find, great location, great price/value, worth revisiting Car parking is tight, the hotel has spaces in a nearby car park, that would be useful knowing about before hand

the location is the outstanding advantage. Otherwise the hotel is comfortable and staff were obliging and polite. The hotel also has a good health and fitness suite, with a good sized swimming pool, which we have used regularly in the past On our previous visit in May we found uncharacteristic faults with the breakfast service. We did not use the dining room on our most recent visit
