the fact that it had a friendly atmosphere,handy for shopping. room was spacious,clean and had a lovely view of the castle and the river ness. food also lovely too!

not enough parking for guests

Central location, very clean, staff very efficient and helpful. Got car parked no bother.

The location was nice.

The room was above the pool, so we could hear the pool cleaning machinery buzzing. Also, the room had a very distinct chlorine smell due to the pool.

Very helpful attentive staff.

Room 20 was a lovely room and when we go back to Inverness and stay at the Palace hotel We would love to have this room again

Inadequate parking facilities near to Hotel My husband & I are in our late seventies and disabled and we were expected to walk from parking at the Cathedral to the Hotel with our luggage.No offer of assistance with luggage was made. No fridge facilities in room. Staff member walking through a door ahead of my husband let in shut in his face

We did not enjoy our stay here and would not do so again. Our booking for a double was accepted but before arrival received phone call saying that it had to be a twin, not happy, but ok. The room we were first offered overlooked directly a hotel roof, no view at all, very claustrophobic. We asked for another room and were put in room on floor above, not much better, nice view of kitchen extractor, and smells from kitchen effused to our room. Floor boards above creaked and we were kept awake till nearly midnight by person above doing exercises. Woken up early (05.30) to same noises. Parking is difficult, we were blocked in for a while. Do not stay here - it is for coach parties.

Excellent location.

Difficult to park in the tiny hotel car park, it would have been good if the web site had explained that valet parking could be arranged and how to do so. The heating appeared to be off, and the lounge and bar areas felt too cool. This might be fine for many people but not for all mature people or those with health issues.

Staff very helpful when we requested a twin room with bath. Showed different room options.

The fact that we had booked a twin room with bath and this was not allocated to us in first place.

Relaxed, spacious, swimming pool, good breakfast. Nice view from Restaurant and lounging area.

Booked double bed and got twin bed room. Very tired and dated bathroom and bedroom, in need of refurbishing. Staff appeared indifferent. Expensive compared to comparable locations.

Nice Hotel close to shops and restaurants.

Price of the Breakfast £10 per person is a bit steep.

Having parking for hotel guest was a big bonus. Very centrally located. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely stay at hotel again.

We ordered room service, unfortunately our 12oz burger (which were two 6oz burgers), were extremely dry. We asked for relish which the hotel did not have. To be fair ordering just one evenings room service isn't enough to be a fair judge of the food at the hotel.

Food was good quality

Plumbing was very noisy, flushing, taps running and showers, I thought I was sharing a room with a group of people.

The staff were polite and helpful on the desk. Pleasent comfortable lounge area.

We had informed you a week or two before our stay that my husband was a ceoliac, but at no time were we offered any alternatives, we even had to provide a pavlova to enable him an alternative too ice cream. We were with a group (Great Rail Journeys) but stayed an extra night before in a different room which I booked over the internet cheaper than we had paid with our Tour, so was disappointed to be moved into an inferior room when our Tour Holiday started. Also we did not get as good a service at the breakfast time as other paying guests.

I liked the Spa, had a massage booked also and it was excellent, the pool was great.

Check in was 3pm which I think is a little late, however we did not get into our room till 3.30pm and even then they had given us a key that didn't work, so didn't get into our room untill 3.45pm. I did let staff know my husband and I had a massage booked and really needed access sooner, but sadly no alternative was given. We were told when we arrived our room had been upgraded to a superior but if that was superior I would hate to see a normal room.

As i booked on booking.com got fantastic value. Spa was very good, room with large bed and view fantastic

Valet parking details should have been said with booking as car tracking device meant security calls.

The morning paper i ordered could have been pushed under the door instead of collecting it from reception. reception didnt seem to know anything about parking told me to speak to the spa staff !!!!!!
