It was ideally located, right next to the beach, and very close to the venue we were going to. The breakfast was lovely and well prepared. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable stay hosts very nice tried hard to make sure we had every thing needed very promp service As this was an out of season booking the whole area looked a bit sad the hotel seemed a bit drab and lifeless I think this is a reflection of the time of year and the fact that the whole area needs a boost

Nothing much. The location. New windows The reception area was messy, cluttered and not too clean. The same with all the rooms that were not public but that could be seen through glass doors. The bedroom was far too small for the 3 beds, there was about 30-40cm circulation space around the beds and one of the bed frames half covered the tv. The shower room was ok but the floor matts did not feel too clean, there was a floor matt around the wc too. Too many doors opening into an already cramped space. This room was described as a single room in their brochure. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was instant

Very nice room and comfortable bed. This made up for the colourful decor and generally somewhat different first impression at reception. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Its not quite what I expected from the brochure and the name, but very good after the first impression. Some would find it a bit far to walk down to town, but pasking ouside the hotel is easy and free.

The veiw from our room was fantastic and the staff were friendly. The room was a little "rough" and needed updating. The carpet was so dirty my feet turned black.(it had been hoovered but obviously was very old and hadn't been shampooed for ages -if ever! Basically it just needed a refurb.

Nice and warm despite below zero temperatures outside.A cancellation meant we were offered the Master Suite : large room with period features well maintained. Good sea view and balcony - must be lovely in summer. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast time flexible and cooked food was OK. Imitation 4-poster bed: ugly, out of period and potential dust-trap. Mattress not firm enough to prevent us rolling into the middle (OK for honeymooners!). Bath mats grubby (I told the manager about this).Whole place needs its spring coat of paint now.Steep stairs everywhere : fine for us but suitable for able-bodied guests only.

Nothing at all. The hotel dirty and smelly and overrated and the food although just breakfast still appalling. Likened to a dingy coffee. I was beaten by a bug at room no. 5 furniture out of date. I went there to relax with my wife and our own house and rooms are far far more excellent than their rooms. Too much money I paid. Sauna /spa/gym and charging for !0.00 per head.. They are really dirty and smelly. Smelly/dirty/over priced. Food is cheap from lidle/coffee is like they boiled their own socks.Allthe facilities are wrong/ all dirty and smelly... And am ichy all the time we stayed there.

Single room with two beds in it, very confined space, charged as a twin room, Cleaniness much to be desired,, clean bedding it's only saving grace. Shower not in usable condition. Very disappointed. Whoever determines it's star rating should stay in room 1 which we were allocated

No locks on door from the inside. Had put a chair against the door to secure it. Sparsley furnished, only curtain for a wardrobe.
