Amazing place, deep in nature, wonderful views and staff. Explore the near tamar valley and the wonderful dartmoor national park. It was a pity that we booked for one night only! Super suggested!

There was nothing not to like! A warm welcome after a 5 hour drive and shown around to our room. The drive to the Barn was beautiful with some amazing sights along the way. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast and how we wanted it cooked and it was perfect. The room was big with a TV and we had our own bathroom also with some lovely smelling soap which looked to be locally sourced. There was a great selection of coffees in the room which were replenished daily along with some cakes. An ample supply of towels which were wrapped up on our arrival with a bow. The decor was amazing with some features left in the room to suggest what it once was with some wooden beams and exposes brickwork. We had a lovely view of the woods afar and hills. Tamar Trails is literally on the doorstep so if you like to walk you'll be in for a treat. There is seating outside which is so relaxing and peaceful. Near to Tavistock town centre which has markets during the week and has some lovely restaurants and pubs. My girlfriend and I loved it here and would certainly return. The perfect place to stay to see the sights and relax without a worry in the world! Thank you Anne and Dave for making us feel so welcome! I recommend the barn to anyone travelling short or long term. Couples and families. They can cater to anyone! Thanks again!

I loved it at palmers barn. Its very informal and a beautyful countryside. With loads of rabbits, some donkeys and goats near you feel like your on a farm. the owners are kind. But i most liked Silly Tilly and Bad Bruce.

Palmers Barn is a beautifully converted barn with unusual and charming features. As soon as you arrive, you are made to feel at home by the very friendly owners, David & Anne. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The 'full English' breakfast was delicious with locally sourced eggs, home-cured bacon, and sausages.

A minor issue - but when the guests next door were talking in the morning inside their bedroom, we could hear every word of the conversation - the bedroom doors look the part, but are not sound-proofed!

Very friendly hosts. Recommended somewhere to eat locally.

Very difficult to get around bed - space too small for double bed. Minute shower room with nowhere to hang towels and no clean towels provided nor used ones hung up on second day. No choice given for breakfast on first day - just presented with cooked breakfast.
