We didn't like anything about the Palms Hotel They wasn't serving food in the restauraunt as we was told it was closed and as the hotel is on a dual carriageway in the middle of nowhere with no place near to eat (unless you fancy a sandwich from the local petrol station) we had to get a taxi into the nearest town which cost us £9 each way , the drinks behind the bar were rediculously expensive and the beer was like drinking dishwater. The rooms were shoddy and dirty and the guy behind the desk was miserable and unhelpful. It was lucky that we was only staying for 1 night . |

Palm Springs was a much larger hotel than its first appearance from the road indicated. Although an older hotel and starting to look its age in that the decor and fittings are a little"tired", it was nevertheles a very comfortable and quiet hotel and we would certainly recommend it to our friends as well as stay there again. |

Some staff very helpful and efficient Curtains came off runners when I pulled them, Radio did not work, radiators off and electric heater did not work, I ate in the bar and 2 hours later suffered stomach pain, sickness and diarrhea - was this food poisoning? I reported it to hotel staff who took note. |

The staff were friendly even though a computer failure was causing problems a prompt service was given, facilities were good and room comfy. Good value for price. One point worth noting good hotel for day trips to london but station a 5 min car ride away so short taxi trip may be needed hotel showing signs of age but still ok, no freeviw in rooms. |

comfortable room, bed good, pillows good,no noise even though there was very loud music, could not be heard in room i did fill mout a room card as there was no milk for our beverages, but i did find in the morning someone elses tray on top of the wardrobe with milk, tea ,coffee and some half eaten biscuits,so that wasn't checkedproperly, someone had turned off the fuse for the kettle, which was under the bench seat and we used the plug for trouser press, until we realised.trouser press only worked for a few minutes, which did'nt matter too much to us but business people might want to use it.the light bulb by the side of the bed had gone.silly things i know but they all add up. |

The breakfast was lovely and the staff are polite and helpful, had a fun time. The bathrooms could do with replacing and rooms need an overhaul aswell but if you have a sense of humour it all adds to the unique Palms experience. |

Nothing the beds were most uncomfortable with the springs, mould growing off the ceilings in the bathroom, sink cracked and sanitry ware in poor condition. Decor tired and worn with paper lifting off the walls. The rooms smell of musty damp. My Wife and children refused to sleep in the beds and opted to sleep on top of them due to not trusting the cleanliness after seeing the rest of the facility. Absolute discusting hotel stayed two nights previous across the other side of the city at Ramada Hotel excellent service for cheaper price. |

The hotel is also a nightclub on Friday night consequently we were unable to sleep until after 2 am Saturday morning due to screaming, shouting and constant banging and noise. We understand that one of the rooms was trashed. We had an appalling night's sleep on the Friday night and would never go back there on a Friday night again. |

The night club on a friday night was excellent. This hotel is budget hotel and you pay for what you get. If you are just wanting a cheap weekend break then this hotel is ok. The smell on the corridor leading to our room. which was 261. Was an awful smell and that needs addressing. It was a foisty smell and it made you feel sick. |
