The room were spacious and clean, it was quiet at nighttime, the staff were always very friendly and approachable.
the area was lonely and a bit secluded at night, especially after returning from a night out.
Compact and well equipped accommodation.
Like all Edinburgh accommodation during the festival - overpriced.
Kitchen Room layout and features The staff were wonderful, best we found on our trip. A young man named Paris was most helpful.
The bed, very uncomfortable and squeaky. No instructions for the washer and the micro/convection.
Room complete of all necessary for cooking and eating. We appreciated the fact that we could buy something at supermarket and eat in our room.
Reception closes at 10pm - please highlight this in your hotel description.
Perfectly adequate accommodations for the Fringe and less costly than most facilities in the old town. Website should mention that there is no maid service nor change of linens and towels during the stay. Room was spacious and spotless.
Somewhat remote location on a dimly lit street with little traffic or pedestrians. Front desk staff needs more training and personality as they welcome guests
Great location close to the royal mile. Appartment is clean
Location was excellent, Rooms were great and spacious. Staff accommodating and helpful.
Noisy nightclub next door with screaming party-goers until 3am right outside my window. Found a chicken bone underneath the bed.
The apartment was well equipped and we were so happy there was a washing machine / dryer in the apartment. The location was also great.
Being so close to the station and the centre of town. It was so easy to get to all the Fringe Festival venues and there were loads of great pubs and cafes a short walk away.
The bed wasn't very comfortable (at all!)
Location, close to train station and city center.
Bed is small for two people No machines for food
Close to royal mile. Spacious. Good value.
We got locked out when returning late at night because the staff got our booking wrong and thought we were leaving a day earlier than we had booked for. Also when we arrived, the reception was closed and we had to call and wait for security to let us in. Bathroom was not as clean as it could be and fridge was not on.
Quiet and comfortable; staff helpful
Although the location is central, is a bit out of the way and I didn't feel particularly safe coming home late at night by myself.
Location and value
Blinds didn't keep out light, so was woken too early each day. There was a fan (AC I think), that was noisy and couldn't be switched off)
Location great Room very comfortable
Noise from nearby club on Sat night
The kitchen is perfect, hot plat, microwave, toaster, water boiler，and washing machine. It is quiet, fell safe and near the train station, bus station. The Calton hill is just near by.
It takes few minutes to go to Sainsburys. But it's ok. This is our fist time to Edinburg and takes a few minutes to find the way to the apartment.
The location was very good. Close to the Royal Mile but without all the noise. The apartment was very clean. Staff was super nice and helpful.
Bed was small. There's a "beep" sound in the corridors, all day and all night, that is quite annoying, specially at night. A bit expensive for what you get but I guess it's because of the Fringe festival...
Location - it was at the east end of the royal mile and only took 15 minutes to get to the castle. Price - everything in this city is expensive and we paid 384 pounds for 3 night. Still a lot of money, but we had a late booking. Staff - Paris was very friendly and super helpful. Room - Clean, big, nice kitchen.
Worst mattress ever. The 4 inch mattress was compressed down to 1 inch in the middle (before we sat on it). It felt like we were sleeping in a bath tub because the mattress was hard and bowl shaped.
Large room Clean and comfortable Central location near the Royal Mile Very friendly staff Fully equipped kitchen
The location in good, but Edinburgh is a hilly city and the hotel is much lower than many other places in the city, so every morning starts with a climb :-) We were there for 8 nights and our room was never cleaned during this time, although we asked for it to be cleaned. We did get fresh towels and soap at the reception though. The shower is very narrow and might not be comfortable for large persons. The reception only operates between 10:00-22:00, and there is NO STAFF in the hotel after 22:00. Beware of late or early check-ins: a couple we met there had to wait over an hour outside in the cold for someone to come over and check them in, although they informed the hotel in advance about their late arrival.
Room spotlessly clean
Shower cubicle is very small
The location was good and the room was ok.
We arrived at the room at 3pm and the room had not been cleaned - when we reported this to reception they did not believe us and insisted on us going up to the room again (four floors) so they could inspect it. It was, as we told them, extremely dirty - used towels were on the floor, the bed had not been made and the apartment was covered in dirt. We were then shown to another room which was in the same condition. Reception seemed completely out of their depth: they suggested downgrading us to a smaller room rather than having to clean the one we were booked into - it was only when we asked for the room to be cleaned that they complied. We had an appointment so could not wait for this to be cleaned - they said they would take our luggage into our room for when we returned. This did not happen. We returned at 9pm to find our luggage left in reception - had we known it would be left all day we would have taken valuable items with us. The actual room was fine and the location is good. However, do not stay there over a weekend as the apartments are next to a club. When we returned to the apartments at about 10pm on Friday night we were greeted by a gang of young men uriniating against the entrance myself and my friend (both female) had to ask them to move - this was a frightening and potentially dangerous situation for us to find ourselves in - we had to walk through the urine to get to our rooms. When we informed reception about the men outside they appeared entirely unbothered and said that they were on CCTV - could security not do anything about that?
Good space and powerful, easy to control shower.
Cleaning would have been rated excellent if the floors had been cleaner. Everything else was spotless.
