Location is superb, the staff is very friendly, the room cosy and nice, continental breakfast is gorgeous indeed!
There were some strange scratching, gnawing noises at night as if a mouse or a rat was gnawing at something.
The location is excellent, especially if you are going to rugby at the rec - it's also within reasonable staggering distance of most central pubs. Oh yes! and it's near the Roman baths and the Abbey. Lovely location by the gardens.
Access to room via 6 flights of stairs and long corridor. The room was a large cupboard with no cupboards! To be fair, a remarkable use of space to provide marginally less than minimum hanging space for clothes. No option of a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning somewhat mean, although "continental" breakfast suited me.
Great location. Decent continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
Noisy guests. Very hot room. No bacon at breakfast.
Tiny room. Quite noisy. Walls shook when people next door closed their door.
Very friendly welcome. Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Superlative.
The only thing to complain about if I have to is the noise from student bar next door and recycling lorry at 5 in the morning!!!
good location, nice staff
wifi was down and the breakfast just not good enough
The welcome of the staff and their helpfulness Free loan of hairdryer quiet at top of hotel Good value, generous breakfast friendliness of staff
both showers on landing need regrouting and refurbishing hairdryer cable did not reach the mirror tricky to find for a first timer.
Lovely old building in exactly the right location
In need of a refresh, both furniture and decoration
Fantastic location, beautiful view over the park and the Abbey. Clean, comfortable room with lovely 4 poster bed. Lots of character.
No on site parking. Room was fairly noisy at night as it was at front of hotel with a busy road outside. Also from the bar downstairs, although this didn't go on too late.
Was a lovely friendly atmosphere when we were welcomed. In the centre only a five minute walk from most attractions
Car parking behind the hotel we paid around 24 pound for 24 hours which I found expensive.
- great location - very helpful and friendly staff - tasty breakfast
- poor condition of shared bathrooms - poor internet connection
only a continental Breakfast
bar , helpfulness of staff , location ,
Room was warm and quite quiet. Continental breakfast was adequate if rather limited. Local real ale in the adjoining Lambretta bar was very welcome.
Room didn't feel all that clean. PJ's left on the none to clean floor and empty beer glass not removed by room servicing.
Spacious, TV, bath - has all the essentials and was clean!
Peeked into the breakfast room and decided not to stay. Slices of ham and toast did not cut it for us. We were happy to go out and have a fuller breakfast somewhere else. My suggestion to hosts: provide a continental breakfast with at least some croissants and pastries.
Fridge in room better wifi...
Central location, easy walk to sights. Period property in character with its surroundings.
everyone was helpful and friendly. The bar was good fun. Room was not bad although we were on the top floor with an elderly friend who struggled to go up and down even my husband and I struggled and we are in our 40's but overall it was an enjoyable stay.
The stairs and there is no lift
Staff's hospitality Location
Good location. Good breakfast. Watched football game at the bar.
- Water for shower/bath was not hot enough in cold weather. Water pressure was weak. - Wifi was not working well. - charged extra £35 for older child for family room.
The staff are nice , the food was good , the location too and it was very quiet
One member of staff that kept starring at us and the curtains where to thin , let the light pass trough in the morning .
Room in 3rd floor
Underground subway is just below the hotel. There is a nice park with playground across the street. Near to eateries. Short walk to oxford street. Nice view from hotel which overlook London city.
