What did i like? The entrance is grand and, to be honest, beautiful. The building itself is impressive, huge and welcoming. The room was small, but perfectly formed; for the small amount I paid I got a single bed, a TV with basic channels & Sky news and Sky Sports news, free Wifi downstairs, kind and friendly staff. I paid an extra £3.50 on the day which let me have breakfast the following morning. The breakfast was varied, teas, coffees, cereals, juices, fruits, and most importantly the buffet style hot cooked english breakfast which was absolutley delicious. I had stayed in the hotel before, so no surprises - it is cheap, but good value for money. The cleanliness of the room was good, but not perfect; a few scuffs on the wall by the door where the door and/or suitcases etc had caught were present but caused no issues with me at all. Liekwise, the grouting in the shower was turning dark but it was physically clean. I only had two small lamps in the main body of the room, which, during winter months, is not enough to light the room sufficiently - however I am sure that if I had asked they would happily have put me into a lighter room. Either way, it was a nice room, and I will happily go there again. |

very close to city centre, a very grand building in a quiet street, very close to the new national express coach at digbeth, breakfast is served from 7am til 10am 11am sat and sun i cannot comment on breakfast as i managed to miss it, this was probably due to my good friend potter a hagley road curry and pints various the night before, however the hotel was fine for my 1 night stay on my own anything longer and more than 1 person then there is a lack of space to hang clothes, condition of the shower, black mould on the walls and basin |

I booked this hotel only because there were no rooms available in the city centre. The hotel was in the middle of what looked like an industrial estate with no facilities/shops close by. The main areas were tired and needed updating. The one member of staff in the bar was friendly, but he clearly needed help as it was quite busy. There was no room service available even though the room information says there is. My room was clean but very small. I had no hot water at all and when I tried to phone reception the phone didn't work. When I mentioned this at checkout the staff were very dismissive. Although cheap I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. |

location was very good plenty of bars and restaurants nearby not far from the shopping centre and good parking facilities just round the corner We had booked 2 twin rooms and got 2 doubles which caused a bit of a problem as we had our son and daughter sharing one of the rooms. Hotel manager did sort out another single room too get round the problem a bit disappointed as we had booked a couple of months in advance and our booking in form stated 2 twin rooms |

There are wireless in the hotel even in the room. And the staff are really helpful. I think the light is not bright enough in the room and i can't really read at night even i have turned on all the night in the room. |

Staff were excellent. Value was great. Superior room was not superior anymore. Needs refurbishment throughout. Location not great, just close enough to centre but had to walk through non-residential area at night was a bit hair raising. Taxi was cheap from centre though. |

We booked for £35 and at this price we are happy with the basic facilities and state of the room. However, if you want a large comfortable room that is not in need of a lick of paint and general updating you would want to pay more and stay elsewhere. Staff were great. We did not eat there, went elsewhere for breakfast as was too expensive (£8) for our needs. In need of re-furb but to be faior their website says this and that's why the room was so cheap. |

The staff were all friendly and pleasant, and my bed was comfortable and I was not cold- V. important I thought I would have a bath- but shower was adequate. There was a suspicious stain on the carpet probably red wine, but not sure. |

The staff were very helpful in general. The location was good, only a few mins walk from main shopping centre and pubs, restaurants etc. Initially our room was poor but we mentioned this to reception who relocated us without fuss and the new room was super. Breakfast appeared to be better earlier as towards the 10am cut off not much of the buffet was replenished so latecomers just got what was left as opposed to a full selection of the food available at earlier times. |

The architecture of the hotel. I paid for a superior room and had to check that they had not put me in a buget room. The room was small with wallpaper and paint was coming away from the walls The bathroom had mold |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was in dire need of a refurb and upgrade. There room was extremely basic, had no character and was in dire need of a refurbishment. There was paint peeling off the wall. |
