Modest price and convenient location for shopping one of the twin beds was broken. The divan base was completely collapsed and this had been hidden by the staff inserting a pillow underneath the mattress to try to fill the hole. We discovered this when we returned to our room at midnight so didnt report it then. it was extremely uncomfortable

The only thing I could like was the location. It was central and near amenities. The barstaff were sullen, slow and not the friendliest, the rooms and corridors were in a poor state of repair with very dirty carpets, showers which were extremely slow, a friend had a very mouldy shower basin, I booked in as they were hosting my exams, and they booked a rowdy prom party in the evening before, which meant the noise went on way past midnight and I couldn't concentrate to study nor sleep (even in my 4th floor room) I was charged twice for breakfast, even though I only ate one morning. Overall it was one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed! Never again.

Nothing, only stayed as exams were in the hotel. Very dirty, stained sheets, chewing gum on ceiling, mouldy bathroom. Corridor carpets covered in loose plastic sheeting very dangerous. Windows paper thin and a wedding on downstairs and sound echoed through. Area doesn't seem very safe so security could be better in hotel too.

I was staying there the night before my ABDO Exams which were being held there. I was not impressed to find that yet again a Prom was held there that night & I was kept awake by noise until the early hours!! I will be recommending to the college & the examination board that they find more suitable arrangements for our exams.

bed and pillows were very comfortable. heater warmed the room up nicely. the hotel badly needs to be renovated. small rooms, stains on walls and ceilings. the windows dis not lock we had to shove spoons in the latch to ensure children and ourselves were safe. very noisy from outside during the night. Television had a bad signal i had to wiggle the aerial wire to get anywhere near a good signal. I did not see the point in complaining as the whole place seemed pretty dilapidated. A shame as it has potential and could be greatly improved.

we stayed here for my friends 40th down the road great location for her party, but when i read the reviews on here i was really nervous about the hotel, i think people are being really unfair as our room was clean and tidy , yes the hotel is a bit dated but everything was clean , and i have paid alot more and stayed in big hotels that are a lot worse, dont let these negative reviews put you off .

Cheaper prices online! The attitude is some members of staff. That fact that I had booked two nights, although one was booked over the phone, I confirmed at check it was booked and when I had to pay I was told when I check out was not a problem. On the first day I was visited my a member of staff to tell me I had to check out when I explained I had an extra night I was told there was no other nights for me to stay however as I argued on my check in card it advised a 2night stay this was looked at and I was told they did not have anything booked for me and at this point I was told I would have to pay a further £80 for a single room! Which is over expensive considering the rooms are tiny and not to the best standard at all! I would also like to comment on the cold breakfast I had and was charged £6.95 for this also! I would never stay here again and would not recommend anybody stay here either!

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was very dated and didn't look particularly clean. Our room was the worst though, it smelt of urine and the bathroom had suspicious stains in it. We had to keep the windows open at all times. Would not recommend this hotel.

I can't say that there was really anything I did like. For the money u spend at the paragon hotel I personally didn't think it was worth it. The room plus bathroom needs a serious facelift! Everything!

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The bedding was very clean, reasonable size room for one person. Plenty of useable power sockets. Room did smell and the decor gave the appearance that it wasn't as clean as it was. The cup provided with the coffee/tea facilities was too small

Had the room been any smaller it would have been a dislike but sufficient for a "comfortable nights sleep". Good helpful staff Given room size, could be cheaper. No chair in my room. Shower room dated and could do with an update. Friut juices disappointing and croissants a little old/hard.

Cheap and cheerful...staff helpful but reception area very busy with one member of staff on...rooms okay...good enough location. Possibly to inform customers that rooms are very basic..there was a lot of noise on our floor which one night we phoned reception and they sorted out the noise problem for us...in a rough enough area...no proper lighting in the room...make rooms more inviting.
