Excellent location, less than 5 mns walk to Victoria Bus Station and Underground. 20 mns walk to Hyde Park Corner. Quiet street. Very pleasant staff.
Creaky stairs and upstairs floorboards!
The staff were extremely welcoming from arrival and very helpful. The hotel was small, but nicely decorated and very clean. Served our purposes for a night away perfectly. It did not have a bar/restaurant and came across as more of an up market B&B than a hotel - but as we wanted to be out sightseeing and sampling the bars/restaurants in the city it was not an issue!
I would flag up the steep stairs, and no lift - if you have issues with stairs or walking then it would probably cause an issue for you, I am not sure if they have ground floor rooms.
Staff were extremely friendly Bed very comfortable Helpful staff
- Very close to the Victoria Underground station. -Ebury Street it`s a no noisy street.
The room is so small.
Room was poorly laid out with insufficient space on one side of the bed. No plug in basin. When they brought one, it jammed and couldn't be removed. Noise from other guests on stairs and landing outside room. Breakfast average.
Great location for easy access to Victoria Station and tourist attractions like Buckingham Palace etc. Room was very neat and tidy and good size.
location and breakfast
the room was so small, could't dry myself in the bathroom with the door shut.
Good location and quiet at night. Room was comfortable with good facilities. Staff we're helpful when checking in early and looked after bags.
The room in the basement was small and quite dark. The breakfast was continental only and quite basic.
the bed was too high
staff quiet room comfortable bed hot shower courtyard with flowers off the breakfast room
cramped bathroom (but I went for small double)
Room decor was really nice. staff were friendly and location was excellent.
bed was not very comfortable. seemed to be dipped on one side and too soft. back was sore waking up. also not enough shower gel or shampoo.
The best thing about this short break was the location of the hotel , it was so central to everything !The bathroom was lovely .The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean .
Although the bathroom was lovely there was a terrible smell coming from the plug holes! Must be something to do with the drains . It would not be practical for anyone who has problem with stairs as there is no lift !
Easy access to the one of the main rail stations
I was put in a basement room that was close to an exit door. Staircase was scary.
Great location and friendly, courteous staff. The room was clean and well appointed.
Location, bathroom, deskchair
Breakfast was meager, common spaces are small and a bit run down
High spec on all facilities. Pleasant and unobtrusive staff
Limited breakfast - no eggs and uninspiring breads. wifi didn't work for us. Small room - but good by London standards.
I liked the fact that the room and the bathroom were clean and the bedding&towels were immaculate. The complementary soft drinks in the mini fridge in our room and the selection of teas were a nice surprise.
I didn't like the stairs leading to the bedrooms, very abrupt and awkward. I could say in all honesty that they are a health hazard, especially for elderly, children or anyone really after a couple of glasses of wine or a moment of distraction. The breakfast was very basic, and they only had instant coffee. I'm not very fussy but I don't normally drink instant -a plain filter coffee would have made me happy.
Position, pretty little hotel
rooms were tiny with many things that didn't work well. terribly bad breakfast.
The room was lovely, it was very modern and clean.
It was very clean and tidy . The bed was comfortable . There was plenty of hot water . And a good size bathroom . The location was good and close to lots of attractions .
There was no remote to the tv or Air conditioning . And the phone did not work . I also noticed that they were not able to other everyone a table for breakfast .
We were on the basement level and the stairs were very narrow but it's nothing you don't get used to after a few times
Location is good being upmarket Belgravia and being short walk from Victoria Station is an advantage if you are there for sightseeing. Rooms are small but our club room was very modern, clean and comfortable. We were on a £114 deal including continental breakfast which for London was excellent value. The advertised price is around £300 which is NOT good value. I would certainly go back at the deal price.
Be warned club rooms are in the basement and although are very nice and recently refurbished they are small as is the good modern bathroom. And being in basement the wifi doesn't work at all despite what they tell you and there is very poor phone signal which often disappears altogether. So if u need Internet or mobile phone use don't book basement rooms. But u can't have everything for £114 inc continental breakfast in London.
location, comfortable room, kept our bags after we checked out.
windows were not soundproofed which caused us to wake early. staff at breakfast were not friendly and managed to repeatedly bang delph and cutlery for the duration of our breakfast making it an unpleasant experience. wifi did not work even though I was provided with the password.
Location so close to Victoria Station was good for us as we needed to link to Gatwick. Staff were friendly. 24 hour reception was convenient. Nice street/area. Room and shower all very clean. Left too early for breakfast so can't comment on food. Effective air con.
Basement room - if I'd been any more pregnant I might not have got down such steep stairs! The small double is very small for 2 people, but ok for 1. We were woken up repeatedly all night long by people stomping about above us - next morning saw this was a staff room of some kind. The bed was squishy and awful. We got no more than 3 hrs sleep - not ideal as all we wanted the room for was to sleep in after a busy day.
Lousy beds and poor breakfast.
