Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.

Location, ambience in restaurant and bar, comfort in room
Breakfast was cold, table not laid correctly - had to ask for serviettes, teaspoons,
Friendly staff, location, breakfast and everything is great about this hotel. Have stayed here twice now and we will keep coming back when in Bournemouth.
We were going to a show at the bic and location was fantastic. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure a great stay.
Room very clean and large Staff made you feel like one of the family not just a room number which means a lot as a 75 year old Food fantastic Fantastic location Have already booke for nex year
Obviously, it's prime location is the biggest selling point, closely followed by the quality of the staff and cleanliness. Value for money was also good.
It was not made clear that the hotel restaurant was a fish restaurant with practically no meat on the menu. Therefore we ate out after the first night.
Great location, a walk to the shops, to the beach and to local bars and pubs The furniture in the room was minimalisitc, I went for an 'executive room' which included a lounge area. Staff were friendly.
A little disappointed we didnt get a sea view - the 'bar so' round the corner of the hotel, was playing music as it was a friday night - which meant that we heard from our room considering it was facing inland.
Staff were great, so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble!
Easy access to beach, town centre and BIC centre.
1 of the 3 rooms we had was really too hot for sleeping even with the fan provided
As a hotel employee I know how important it is to have good staff and the I could not fault any of the staff the were very professional and asset to the hotel
location friendly staff
breakfast very poor long waits and uncooked food hot room, and very poor bathroom lack of space for toiletries cramped shower
Location Comfy beds Car parking across the road
Nice size room although a little on the dark side as we were on the ground floor. Nice and clean with good bath and powerful shower. Location is great. Easy walking distance to beach and town centre. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. We also ate in the Hotel restaurant 'The Crab' which serves good quality fish dishes and definitely worth a try. Would recommend paying to park in the car park opposite as parking is very limited in Bournemouth. All in all we had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend this hotel and return when we come back.
Room was lovely - staff very helpful and Crab restaurant excellent. Great locaton
Comfy bed and clean room. Good location for the beach and international centre.
Parking was limited. Our room was small.
location was very good and the Crab restaurant, although a little pricey, served delicious food. The breakfasts were very good and varied. The service was very good too and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a "signature" room. It was large and comfortable and the coffee machine was a great "extra". Will happily stay there again.
bed was a little soft but that's down to personal taste.
It's a nice hotel perfectly located right across the road from the BIC which is what we wanted. We had a lovely sea view room, although the bathroom was tiny and they could've made it bigger by reducing the size of a seating area. Nice restaurant attached, advised to book in advance.
No on site parking, although you can park across the road in the BIC in reserved hotel places. I'd rather park at the hotel I'm staying at. A lot of staff on duty in the restaurant for breakfast but the service was really slow.
Excellent staff and location, great breakfast, my partner and I had a lovely couple of days
Quite noisy and bathroom quite small
The attention given by the staff & the cleanliness of the hotel.
We were in room 312 the room felt very hot although we had a fan on all the time & a lot of noise from the road outside on Sat night .
The friendliness and professionalism of staff enhanced what was a very relaxed, comfortable stay.
Great location and room very spacious!
Disappointing that it a was too hot in the room with the heating the noise from the street made it difficult to get to sleep. Also breakfast was good but the staff got all the orders wrong and a number of guests were complaining about waiting times and wrong orders etc
The lighting in the bathroom was too dark. It didnt pose a problem for me(being a woman) but I think a man would find it difficult to shave.
Location was great, very close to the sea front and walking distance from bars/restaurants etc. Hotel was clean and very good value for money.
Wasn't made aware that we would not be able to check in until 3pm when we had made the hotel aware that we were arriving at 12pm.
Stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary. Warm welcome on arrival, checked we had table booked, upgraded our room. Card and chocs in room was a lovely touch. Our room overlooked the sea everything was perfect.
Great staff, lovely restaurant, clean spacious rooms.
No lounge area for the children to be in the evening other than the restaurant.
was a gorgeous room, very friendly and helpful staff, such thoughful things in room as it was our first wedding anniversary, fantastic location close to everything. Sad to leave! Breakfast YUM!!
