Not that we had time to go online however it would have been nice to have wifi should we have needed it
The property and the grounds (what we saw of it) were beautiful. The whole experience was a lovely one. It really exceeded our expectations. We had the East Wing. In the email it simply said "your room is called the East Wing"; We had a lounge with dining area. It was a little more than just a room. There was a fridge, a microwave and crockery/cutlery should we have needed it. Oh and a CD player I think I saw too. It had all the usual; TV, guest towels, ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet) both in the bedroom and then tucked away at the back of the lounge. It felt like an adventure getting there...from receiving the email and then directions to the property and then getting inside:) it truly is a lovely place. I had emailed Tracy Phillips to thank her for her assistance and the exceptional facilities within our "room" and she was kind enough to say when we came back we could request a tour of the rest of the grounds if we wanted. This is definitely somewhere I would want to go and stay at again. Honestly this place had exceeded our expectations. Dude says it was amazing:) I am sure he is talking about Park Hall Estate and not just the weekend ;) I didn't score for facilities as we didn't use any. But facilities within our room were excellent.
No reception, you didn't know what you were allowed to visit in the house, we travelled with young children and got located on the top floor without lift. No breakfast even though sold as bed and breakfast on you site.
We liked the location
Awkward entrance gate, draughty windows.
Attractive decor, nice showers.
Not the easiest place to find. Confusing layout, and having nobody around to welcome you doesn't help. WiFi didn't work.
VERY quiet and peaceful location. Clean room (though tiny!) and comfortable bed.
Both Google Navigator and your instructions still made it hard to find
modest price, peace and quiet,
It was cute
Limited parking Towels dirty Ensuite dirty Bed linen creased Small TV No wifi Hair and mud on the carpet Room over cramped was a family room with bunk beds no room to walk around Room door security is weak I would not have stayed here alone No hair dryer No extra or reachable sockets to plug in hair straighters, phones chargers etc Not a 24hr reception No phone in room House keeper swore a lot because we arrived and she wasn't informed by management
Prior to arriving we spoke to the owner one the phone he was lovely and very polite
Disorganised chaos, didn't know where to go no reception I had to contact house keeper via mobile she I was given wrong number I knocked on the door an elder gentle man opened it tracked around the hotel with him to find the house keeper was taken to some old caravans where I was presented with house keeper in her slippers another game of following the person, by which time I was very tired as I have heart failure and wasn't planning on doing g do much walking, she took me to a very small room all I can say was only thing nice was beautiful location, the room was so tiny the TV didn't work no wifi mugs was cracked the bathroom was showing plaster.. Overall disappointed didn't know who to contact if problems nothing was explained.. Was more like a prison.. Needs better management as location breath taking such a shame a beautiful property not looked after
Kettle didn't work in the communal area one share kettle plus no milk supplied in plastic tubs. No hand or face towel available in room. No mobile phone or internet signal in room was a poor signal countryside area location. No rubbish bin provided in room or bathroom and tissue box provided. No welcome notes in room or history of place. Was placed from one room to a new room due to shower wasn't working had to get changed again and had inconvenience from moving out of a room not checked for broken hose pipe in shower before moving new quest in. rating should be 3 star instead of 4 in my opinion.
The replacement room that was provided was more small room nice and warm and had a new shower.
Hard to get into
It was a little confusing where to go on arrival but we called the housekeeper who arrived within 10 minutes to show us to our room
Room was clean and comfortable. Gardens/ view was lovely V quiet
1st you have to find the place satnav plots you 30 feet after entrance which is on a duel carraige way so when i missed the ten foot hole in the hedge for the 3rd time and having to go around(3 miles) to get back to entrance i slowed down to 10 mph so i didnt miss it again witch isnt good when its pitch black and duel carriage way is going into 1 lane. anyway finally got thru the keypad gates were no 1 is there to greet you.i rang owner tracy(got the number off booking.com helpline). she was helpfull and said for me to ring TRACY the grounds woman who would let me in. so after i wait 25 mins for her to turn up TRACY(a missrable woman) showed me to the room i asked her for the wifi sign in code she said she would go get it id still be waiting now i had to ring owner again to get code off her. TRACY needs some urgent custermer skills updates. its was like id disturbed her from watching the telly or something and come across as i was(a paying custermer) as an irratant. i wouldnt use again because if she is the welcoming face of this place you can stick it.great service NOT!!!
room clean nice place
There was a lack of welcomeness or information provided upon arrival just shown to your room and left to it. I was unable to get wifi in the room despite it being advertised that access was available in all rooms in all areas. When I complained about this the housekeeper said she would need to take it up with her boss who was not available for the next hour. 2 hours later I called again and was told the same thing. I never received a phone call back despite chasing this again. All this is a shame as the location is in a beautiful setting and the room was very good value.
The room was very clean
Small room. Just one cup. The spoons were dirty. Wi-fi out of order.
Wet towels left in bathroom, that seemed to have been there for a while. only one milk pot with the coffee.
Comfy bed. nice location
Room and view Very good value for money, room was larger than expected... Had three piece suite and double bed with en suite shower room
Everything. Customer service appalling.very poor service. No aftercare. Owner always unavailable. Total misrepresentation of rooms. Whole experience with this shambles of a place dreadful!
Dirty room dust dirt everywhere the whole house and garden rooms need a lot of maintenance basically not being looked after at all. No hot water at all during the whole of our stay very disappointing. We would not recommend Park Hall as a place to stay to anyone absolutely awful probably the worst place I have stayed at in the UK I will be requesting a refund of the room charges.
No personel, and no access to the pool.
The room was great, the wiev was pretty, everything was cleen, no stress, the feeling of staying in a home..
being "taken round the back - like a poor relation" through unsightly messes at rear of property and shown room which was family room, not expected. Just able to squeeze two people in, no room at all in bedroom area, no plug sockets so coffee facilities were outside room! No window to outside that opened.
price, location, initial appearance of property when first seen, en-suite excellent and new.
Cold breakfast buffet left in the room the night before We were the only guests - felt like no one was in the house No one showed us the facilities we were left with the key to the house
Very pretty building and beautiful views
The Estate is beautiful
it was such a shame this estate is no longer fully open i.e restaurant, bar, reception, leisure facilities all closed and desserted most people would be put off by this
