Park House Hotel  

Kept awake by ridiculously hot room, woke up at 6 am by people and staff talking extremely loudly. Complained at reception and was offered no compensation or even a free drink!!!! Pathetic customer services!! You can get a Hilton for the same price and be treated a lot better!!!

Bed was really big and comfortable. Staff were very helpful.biscuits in the room were yummy but gone too quickly.

Bathroom whilst clean was very dated and worn. Could do with an update

Nice old building, good location. Staff freindly but not professional.

Have never stayed at such a noisy hotel. Due to big wedding parties -they should put those guests in the noisy rooms. Disco until 1 in the morning and loads of kids running around the corridors until late at night.

It is a lovely friendly hotel with nice facilities. A great place for a break. Good value for money

The hotel was booked at short notice so we had mixed feelings what to expect. We were given a room in the adjacent cottages a short walk from the hotel. We were pleasantly suprised, the room was really comfortable with just about everything you would need for a short stay. In fact there was a little too much furniture but thats a small point. I would have no hestitation booking this hotel in the future and would certainly request a cottage. Never used the spa or pool and did not eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was good especially the smoked haddock and poached eggs

It was a great stay. Food in the restaurant was very good and staff were excellent with the children.

I had to change rooms 3 times due to noisey airconditioning/fans. This issue was not resolved and I was kept a wake at night.

Would recommend to anyone who likes a country house feel, quiet surroundings, close to historic sites. I would give 5 stars to all aspects, it was lovely to be treated so well.

Location and breakfast

The shower lost all pressure twice. Not something I would expect from a four star hotel. Very disappointing and very annoying.

Nice room. Good service. Pleasant staff.

Dining room for breakfast was a walk through to other rooms. Like to eat in peace without people knocking my elbows as I eat.

Staff were not particularly helpful - some even surly. Lack of attention to detail - E.G. lovely refurbished room in cottage 'suites' but radiator did not work as thermostatic valve was hanging off - staff informed. Food not up to the one aa rosette they hold - E.G. cod was badly overcooked, very dry.
