Location, facilites, rooms
No air con in rooms and the windows only marginally opened meaning the rooms were too hot for comfort at times. Also there were some funny smells in some of the rooms and in the communal landing areas. Drinks at the bar were quite expensive compared to the rest of Cardiff.
Great hotel for the price. Excellent location. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Will stay again.
Good sized room Very Central location
scruffy look to the furniture/fittings where it needs some updating. Lack of adequate parking facilities and were not offered an option to book parking leading to extra expense
Fix the sign ! When arriving last at night seeing "PARK IN" lit up didn't help - looked like it was broken car park sign
Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good
Room not the cleanest. Dirty net curtains wallpaper peeling from wall. Bathroom looked like it had been fitted by a poor DIY person
If you are going to order a double room be expected to get two beds pushed together and as everyone knows you end up sleeping in the middle of them and waking up with a bad back after a bads night sleep. Wifi was a waste of time.
Mostly jobs well done
Unbeatable location, adjacent to St. Davids shopping mall, 2minutes walk away..
Wi-Fi too slow and carpets in corridors looking tired..
They were training staff and they were apologies all the time.
The wifi should be to each room not device
Room next to a lift. Not a lot of sleep . Staff apologised. Busy weekend!
The staff were rude. Rooms were tiny.
Very convenient for train station (both) and shops. Breakfast was very good both in choice and quality. Breakfast staff very pleasant too.
hotel and room was far too hot. Opening the window in the room was not an option due to street noise. Bathroom although clean could do with updating.
I would like to say upon our arrival we were checked in by a trainee called Usha, who was very professional outsatnding manners & personality I think Usha will go far in this business. I also was impressed with the other staff we met Magda the bar manager & the resteraunt manager too I would defiantly come & stay again Kind regards Mrs Batty
Very dated sub standard room for the high price I paid on the day for one night stay!! Loud throughout the night woken on more than one occasion. No air con room in July v.hot!!
It advertises that there is parking and no need to book, but teh car park was full and I had to park in a public car park a good 5 moinutes walk from teh hotel. The shower was not working properly and the food was poor
Attractive and original foyer. Looked a cut above the sort of chain that charges a similar amount of money.
the location right by the motorpoint arena quite a good breakfast
the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard.carpet had some long lasting stains. on the sunday I decided to have a snack in the bar ,after 20 minutes I and another guest were told that the soup was not available(had in fact been lost!fruit salad came not as described no honey or yoghurt.
the staff are friendly the breakfast is quiet delicious
my room's staff is destroyed and very old like the handle of the windon can not be opened and if you open it you can not close it as well as, the door's card, you need to be patient to open the door. the housekeeping service is tooooo bad. i asked one of the worker to clean my room after i returned to my room afternoon i saw my bilows and blanket are on the floor and most of the room was not even touched and the only part of the room was cleaned .... the toilet.
breakfast was good and staff very polite and helpful.
poor room facilities freeview rubbish. wifi connections poor. bath not good for those with difficulties having to climb into shower .told we would have upgrade but not provided ? if so not much improvement. overall average standard hotel . lifts very slow .
Helpful staff Location excellent
No sky sports Car park costs at £12 per day
No air con in room. They put a very dirty fan in the room and when we put it on dust went all over bed and cloths. Room was not cleaned properly fridge was dirty so was the bedding. Even down to ordering a brandy they put it in a half pint glass. In the last month I have stayed in around ten hotels and this is far the worst one I have stayed in for a long time. Plus it's not cheap.
Loby big & clean Room had a fridge Staff very helpful
Wi-fi slow No swimming Pool
Central to everything Wifi free
Generally decor a bit tired Lamp shade broke in bedroom Grouting in bathroom needed replacing. Quilt too small for bed
All night noise by drinkers. Room doors banging day and night. Dust on shelves and bathroom floor. No air conditioning as room was hot you need the window open. Decor tired, curtains not right, old hanging off.......... I could give a list of things. For the money I expect better, not a promise of better.
