Near to venue we wanted
Booked this hotel because it is so close to Manchester Arena.
Great service, great room and great restaurant
Absolutely fantastic place to stay if you are going to a gig in Manchester. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean with a very good heating system.
Staff on the desk were friendly Hotel was easy to navigate Location of hotel excellent
The bathroom was still dirty with toothpaste residue from the previous guest all over the sink unit Grout in the bathroom was dirty Carpets stained In places
The staff were very helpful
Close to the man arena
Buffet breakfast is far away from the dinning area .evening menu wasn't available due to short staffed
Lack of pillows and hotel unable to provide any more.
Great location and a lovely hotel. Staff are very polite and helpful.
the gentleman that worked overnight on reception, very friendly and helpful
Loved its relaxed atmosphere the staff are friendly and attentive. The room was large and had everything you needed in it, it also was very clean. The views were amazing from the top floor with huge impressive windows. The pool sauna and steam room were all free when you stay so that felt like a real treat.
This is a great hotel that is really good value for money. I think if you wanted to improve it it needs a overall make over with some delux features.
The location where the hotel was situated, our main purpose of the stay in the hotel was to visit the MEN arena which was just across the road. A short ten minute walk into the city, easy to find. The car park which we chose to stay on cost us just £2.50 for the 24 hours that we there! Obviously if you are looking for more of a secure car park you may opt to park in the NCP car park which is linked to the hotel and you are entitled to a 20% price reduction as they state, which is just across the road. The view from our 5th floor room was lovely. The blackout curtains were an added bonus! Felt like it was the middle of the night when we awoke just after 9! The check out time was just right, 12pm, so you don't feel rushed to leave to early. The bathroom was lovely and clean, as well as the power walk in shower being fantastic! Staff were lovely on greeting and check out. Polite notices around the reception area to apologise for the smell of paint as refurbishment was taking place.
We had paid for a double standard room. We were greeted with two single beds that had been pushed together. At first appearance the bed did just look like a king size bed, until you sat on it. Normally I wouldn't grumble at small things like this, but the amount we paid for the room for the night and the fact I'm pregnant, it just wasn't what we expected. Just for this simple fact, it made my experience in the room less than satisfactory. The remote for the TV had a cut out plaster that was securing the back in place?! Didn't really know what to think of that one.. Maybe they just ran out of their normal cellotape...
Excellent location! We shopped all day so only a 5 min walk into town & went to see John Bishop over the road at the Arena on Saturday night.
Breakfast on Sunday morning. The replenishing of the food was very, very slow! When I went to to the buffet there was no beans, bacon, tomatoes or eggs. I understand it was busy but a lot of guests were moaning & a huge queue developed!
The location to the arena was good. The food was lovely once sat down for breakfast.
Spending a ridiculous amount of time waiting to check in and even longer for breakfast!!
Rooms were specious, very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful.
We came to breakfast to absolute dis origination! There were very long ques, nobody had mentioned this the day before, the young girl on the front desk was obviously stressed and this really showed! All they needed to do was the make all guests aware of this and things could have been different. For this reason, i wouldn't go back. It really spoilt our stay.
The breakfast is excellent
The room was comfortable, and lovely shower room, no bath. Which wasn't an issue.
Throughout our stay my partner tried numerous times to ring down to reception, and not once did she get an answer. It always gave the busy tone. We had drinks in the hotel, which go up extortionatly as the evening goes on. When she queried this the night desk man agreed that something didn't add with what we were being charged, no receipts given to us though. He told my partner to retire to the room and he would get straight back to Her which he never did. The bar staff only served people who were imat the centre of the bar, as they seem to have tunnel vision, and selective hearing. So if your looking for a hotel with a lovely room, ignorant staff an overpriced bar and a little out of the way. This is it.
Room was comfortable, it was quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Had to wait until 3pm for one of the rooms. Breakfast was a bit unorganised, they kept running out of food and you had to have it in stages! However, when it came it tasted good!
Pizza was awful, salmon wasn't good and service was disgusting, both night and breakfast.
Location excellent near cathedral and city centre
Couldn't connect to wifi
able to sort a late check out
when i booked i paid extra for a business room, which stated extra toiletries with slippers and robes. This was not supplied.Had to wait to be seated at breakfast for 15 mins then after visiting the self serving area, there was only eggs and toast available, on return the table was taken
Bed was so comfy Location was close to arena good facilities
restaurant food first 2 choices were not available 3rd choice wasnt very nice.
- Location, very close to the arena - Modern, bright rooms - Walk-in shower - Quiet - Plenty of nearby parking
- Room was a little cold, even with climate control set to 23 degrees - "Double bed" was two singles pushed together with a fair gap between, was like sleeping separately - No bath
Location great, service poor, breakfast average. Would be more a 3 star.
Service poor. Will not be a returning customer.
The staff in the bar/ restaurant/breakfast was quite unprofessional. The were not acting like they worked in a 4-star hotel.
