The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Was given early check in free chocs and champagne, and an upgrade as it was my wedding....fantastic :-)

Room upgrade

The gym and spa was really good after a hard day. The room was comfortable and clean.

One of the table waiting staff at breakfast has significant personal hygiene issues that are unpleasant when he passes and I am attempting to eat.

The food was awful. Steak undercooked and raw! Breakfast sausages cooked on one side only with no fried eggs available.

Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Good value and location - proximity to the MEN Arena, rail & bus services, etc. Good room and excellent bathroom.

Restaurant/bar staff, restaurant/bar service, price vs. facilities - I felt it was overpriced based on the 'feel.' It felt like a budget hotel, particularly the restaurant/bar area.

Great price and location for our Beyonce MEN arena trip.

Greeting from a young lady no eye contact and robotic (just reeling off information) and chip and pin machine generated an error machine we were left waiting and were not been updated from her what was going on. She did apologise for delay but we did not know what delay was for etc.

The spa and the breakfast.

The accessible room was very spacious, but I found the bathroom design a little bit strange. Breakfast was very good, well worth the £8 extra. The included free wi-fi is very slow, so I upgraded to the £5,70 per day faster option, which is also well worth it.

Beware the design flaw of the accessible room's toilet. I understand their intention, but it was not very well executed. One quarter of the bathroom is the shower area and it separates itself by a tiny curtain so as a result the whole bathroom floor gets soaked up when you have a shower. It even creates a puddle in the empty quarter (probably to leave the wheelchair when not in use). Besides that, the bathroom lacks toiletries. It just had one hand wash dispenser by the sink and another at the shower and two tiny tubs of body moisturizer. Be sure to bring your own shampoo.

I stayed 2 nights and the bed was not made during the day . Poor house keeping

First impression was the reception/lobby area looked very cheap. On arrival our room had not been cleaned properly having found a wet flannel in the sink and a bottle of cleaning fluid in the bathroom. I then found a nail (not sure if it was a toe nail or a finger nail) and a fair bit of dust on one of the shelves that took the place of drawers. After informing housekeeping twice it was finally put right sometime after 7.15 pm. I was in the restaurant at this time and got back to the room approx 9.30pm. In the bar I asked for a wedge of lime in my drink and after a member of staff searched the bar and the kitchen informed me they did not have lime! In a cocktail bar! There were no wardrobes or drawers in the room, what took the place of these facilities was a bar approx 2ft long with 2 shelves underneath that would not allow the hanging of anything longer than jacket/shirts and anything you would normally put in drawers had to be displayed for all to see on shelves. I was quite horrified at the dreadful red net curtain that did not even fit across the full length window Now for the breakfast - the food was lukewarm. As things were running out they were not replaced soon enough - it seemed to me that only when something was completely gone did the staff go to the kitchen for more, this took an age so peoples food was going cold while they waited for replacements of other items - I did notice that it took on average 20 mins for replacements to appear as indeed it took for a fried egg that I requested so I paid £8.00 (special offer if paid for in advance) for a lukewarm breakfast that did not even have all items & I was there at approx 9.45 so not late! The food in the bar & grill was just ok but expensive for what it was. I thought I was booking a 4 star hotel but this hotel is no more than a 3 star. All in all I would pay a few pounds more and go back to the Radisson Blu Edwardian.

Took a while to sort the kettle out

Given a room on a high floor, which we requested. Comfortable pillows and bed.

No BBC TV channels and told there hadn't been any for a week. Really!?! Hard to understand why this hadn't been fixed. Staff lacked experience and the grace and charm that comes with it. Dirty counter and towel in bathroom on arrival.

Its closeness to the arndale and restaurants suited us perfectly and litterally just around the corner from manchester Arena. Breakfast was ample and very good quality

Standard of accommodation was very nice, comfortable and clean with a spacious bathroom in particular. Staff were very friendly and nice. Great location.

Service was slow and a few problems in our room never got fixed, despite being told three times! Breakfast times are strictly enforced and they prepare the room for lunch before Breakfast is finished, which is disappointing.
