Idylically situated in the south-west corner of Lincolnshire, Britain's oldest inn, The Angel and Royal Hotel, is an historic hotel that's said to have hosted 7 kings over 600 hundred years.

Top notch, friendly B+B, really well appointed and nothing too much trouble. Lovely.
Jon and Tracey are such genuine caring people. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything you need is provided in their beautiful rooms. Breakfast was an amazing feast.
Nothing,oh wait, having to leave!!
Owner very friendly. Room lovely. Breakfast great. 10 min walk to town.
Shower hard work. Quite feeble.
Very friendly host.lovely breakfast.room was a good size and clean with quality bedding.also loved the Victorian style decor.value for money.
Warm welcome & hospitality from owners. Quirky rooms with lovely decor. Good breakfast.
What's not to like?
The room, the cleanliness and the excellent breakfast
Lack of en-suite maybe
John gave us a very warm welcome. The king bed room with ensuite was classically decorated and very comfortable.
This really was a very homely guest house. My room was really warm and comfortable. The bed was really nice and it felt really private and 'away from it all'... So much so that I overslept. The shower was nice... Huge soft towels were lovely. The teas and coffees were good too with a nice selection. The cooked breakfast was huge and lots of nice cereals, jams and juices. All in all a great guest house and all that you'd want to business or a few days sightseeing or en route somewhere.
Nothing apart from having to drag myself out of bed and getting off!
Jon and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was small but adequate for our one night stay although our pillows were very firm and had to be discarded. The welcome pack in the room was very informative and would have been very useful if we had been staying longer. Park Lodge is a Victorian house and has been decorated to maintain the periodic style. This was a nice touch and was a point of conversation.
Pillows were to firm.
Lovely old townhouse with period decor. Owners Jon and Tracey were welcoming and attentive throughout. Room and beds very comfortable and excellent breakfasts. Many travel options make Grantham a good base for exploring the area.
A very pleasant overall experience with very friendly owners. I will go back without hesitation and would highly recommend it.
Nothing to say about that at all !
Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, despite arriving earlier than the proposed booking-in period. Were allowed to park and were then given directions to walk into the town ctr which took only 10 mins. Very well located. The room was so cosy and even though had visited Grantham for a short break away, we found ourselves going back to the room earlier than anticipated as was like home from home. A lot of thought and care had clearly gone into ensuring that your stay at Park Lodge was a memorable one. Everything was provided in your room, from free toiletries including cotton wool balls & cotton buds, to bottled water & biscuits. Breakfast was delightful and Jonathan & Tracy were on hand whenever needed. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Unable to comment as there wasn't anything not to like!
Such a nice place as you drive up. Only hotel/guest house that gave each bed 2 lovely comfy pillows. Little sewing set in the room. Dinning room spotlessly clean. Lots of interesting pieces throughout the house generally beautiful accomodation
Nothing to dislike there
Centrally located. Lovely house - Lovely Room Warm Welcome Fab Breakfast
The missus & I are both on the large side so a double bed (Rather than our usual kingsize) was a bit cramped & I also find the memory foam type top mattresses a bit hard so I'm afraid neither of us slept very well. For slimmer folk though this hotel would be perfect.
Requested if we could check in about 1pm as we were attending a funeral. Arrived slightly earlier and were greeted at the door by the owner, Jon, who said the room was ready and kindly helped us with our luggage. Tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water were provided in the room. Great cooked breakfast - excellent service. Definitely recommend this friendly and welcoming B&B.
We loved the welcome from the excellent John and Tracy, the decor was outstanding, the facilities were great, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room, together with complimentary bottled water and a great selection of toiletries in our own private bathroom! The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept like two logs, except one of the logs was snoring (and it wasn't me)!! We were in Grantham to attend the wedding of my partner's son. My partner forgot his cufflinks and the lovely owner of Park Lodge even offered to lend him some... where else would you get service like that? Oh .. I forgot to mention the breakfast ... What a choice, it really was fab.u.lous! Everything we wanted and more! We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you for the wonderful stay Park Lodge x
The only drawback I found was that our private bathroom was around the corner from our room, but really it's no different from being at home, and we really did feel at home.
The venue was right for us with free parking right outside the main entrance, great. The Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable with very good facilities. Food was of a high standard and plentiful. The stay was real value for money.
We did not dislike anything about our stay at the Park Lodge.
The guest house is a gorgeous Victorian house, the room was beautifully decorated, the facilities were excellent, and the staff, super-friendly. Breakfast was good, too. I'm now looking for an excuse to come back to Grantham so I can stay here again.
Welcome, room, food, price!
The decor and fittings in the William Morris style.
We had a very enjoyable stay, being made very welcome and the breakfast was lovely!
Tracy and Jonathan were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was at the top of the house, but for us, access was fine. The en-suite shower room was a little snug but clean and functional. There was free parking on site and we were served a very good breakfast in the morning.
What a lovely place to stay, we attended a wedding reception at Belton Woods De Vere Hotel, But we could not have had better accommodation there, than at Park Lodge Guest House. Jon and Tracy made us most welcome and we wish we had more reasons to stay there, (perhaps we can make a reason). Many thanks.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
The Breakfast was prefect with plenty of choice of cereals and of cooked breakfasts. Bathroom was small but had underfloor heating and a radiator. All the pictures and ornaments were lovely to look at.
I would just like comment on our poor nights sleep. Nothing wrong with bed or room, just our age never sleep very well anywhere at home or not
