It was a fantastic location! Just 10 minutes walk to the Waterloo station and very close to Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, The London Eye and the London Aquarium. Hotel was clean and relatively comfortable. Had a Junior Suite, so was able to take in the amazing views of the city. Got upgraded from a Studio Room to a Junior Suite which was very good, however the lady at the reception said the Junior Suite was bigger. As the room was a lot smaller than I expected, I didn't want to imagine the size of the Studio Room. I think if I had I indeed stayed in the Studio Room I would have felt aggrieved at the amount of money I had spent on the room. An incident which I found to be highly inappropriate was that halfway through our stay a member of staff came to check the mini bar whilst we were in the room. It didn't seem to faze her that both me and my fiance were half dressed as we were getting ready for a night out. I thought this was completely out of order and she made no apologies for embarrassing us in this way.

The location was excellent. A few minutes walk from many attractions in the south-bank area. In addition the hotel is located a few minutes walk from Waterloo train and underground station which has many of the important lines connecting you easily and quickly to central London and other areas. The hotel itself is as described on the internet with NO unpleasant surprises. The hotel is very modern, clean, and designed nicely. We took the family suite room, which contained a small kitchenette, with a small fridge, microwave and an espresso machine which makes great espresso! (cutlery, coffee mugs and plates were also included) The room also contained a nice bathroom with a big bath and a separate shower. The living room area had a sofa that was opened to a comfortable bed which our child enjoyed very much. The hotel facilities also include washing machines and driers and are free for the use of the hotel visitors (detergent to included). Overall (except for what we didn't like that we will mention below) it was a great hotel and we would definitely return to it again! 1. The "free" internet access is not broadband speed, but a rather slow ISDN speed of the good old days. The broad-band internet is NOT free and is quite expensive actually. This was very annoying as I explicitly asked the hotel representative if this is a broadband speed when I called the hotel after we booked it. To the hotel's management I should credit the fact that when I explained (assertively) that I was told that I will get high speed internet access without extra charge they provided me a code that allowed me to access the broadband internet and I was not charged for it. What was annoying though is the fact that this code was supposed to be valid for our whole 5 day stay, but in fact I had to renew it every day in the front desk. This went on until I got tired after the 3rd time in which they promised me that the code will be valid and I won't need to renew it again. Eventually I just bought a 5 pound micro-SIM card that allowed me internet access via 3G. 2. The WiFi signal strength was very poor within the rooms. In the first room we got (731) it was impossible to keep a connection stable for more than a few seconds. We want to credit the hotel's management the fact that they took our complaint seriously and after verifying they moved us to a better room on a higher floor also with a better signal (still poor, but at least not disconnecting). I heard several people complaining about this issue, so I think this is a holistic issue in this hotel. 3. The hotel lifts are either not programmed properly or 3 lifts that are available in this hotel are not enough to deal with the demand. In the "rush-hours" we had to wait sometimes more than 5 min. for an elevator to arrive and then the way up or down also took a few minutes as people kept going on and off. 4. Some of the front desk employees were cold and unfriendly. They only did they job no more no less and did not make any motivation to provide a welcoming stay.

Great location. We had a view of Big Ben, Westminster and London Eye from the room. Good WiFi which was free. Less than 5 minutes walk to Waterloo Station and Westminister Bridge. Breakfast was excellent at 10 pound for an adult and children ate free. It was expensive (but all of London is), however, the service provided by the hotel staff was below par given the price. Twice we returned to our room after a day sight seeing to find it un cleaned. While the breakfast staff were friendly the male floor manager directed staff away from our table a number of times, unless it was to pick up plates to take them away. This made it hard to order coffee etc. On more than one occasion plates were removed so quickly that you often didn't get time to finish some of the food. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, especially at checkout. There seemed to be a lot of secret rules around the accessing breakfast vouchers, which we finally found out had to be booked 24 hours in advance. Children were promised packages which included free movies and drinks, however, the movie they watched was charged to us, and we found out that the free offers were available to anyone staying at the hotel. Advertised as family friendly but not very tolerant of the kids.

I had requested a room with a view of the London Eye as a treat for my daughter and niece's birthdays and when we arrived the Receptionist upgraded us to a beautiful Junior Suite at no extra cost. We had a fantastic view of the Eye and Big Ben. On arrival we had another treat of choclates juices and a lovely card delivered to the room. Really enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

We stayed 7 days between 19/10 until 26/11 in a Studio room and we loved it !!! Everything was wonderful, the room was clean, new and there is a very good place to dinner very near (Called Locale as italian food) and a 24hs store to buy everthing!!! The hotel has 2 tube station near Westminster and Waterloo, we prefer Westminster because we loved to see big ben every day :) I really recommend this hotel and we hope returning again soon :) Thanks Park Plaza, we had a great vacation ;)

The location of the Hotel is perfect - It is just steps away from London's major attractions - Big Ben, London Eye and Westminster Abbey. Rooms are spacious (by London standard), clean and well-provided with toiletteries and blankets. The breakfast is great and the staff are all very efficient and friendly.

Upgraded to a suite with plenty of room. Position is excellent. Close to Waterloo Station. Kitchen facilities. Wi fi access in our room was intermittent at best (excellent from outside in the corridor). Air conditioning/heating did not seem to be working. Shower overflowed onto bathroom floor. Had to take out filter to be able to use it.

Easy access to the South Bank. The room was clean and tidy and the staff pleasant. The air conditioning was quite noisy and I didn't realise this until the morning following a fairly unsettled night! My fault! Other than this I can't complain. It was exactly as you would expect a decent hotel to be.

I sent an email to ask a room with a view of London Eye to celebrate my graduation. The hotel met my request and gave me a bottle of red wine as a gift! Very warm and friendly stay. The staffs here are very nice and helpful. Maybe the room is not as big as I thought, but considering the location, it's a good hotel that I will definitely recommend to my friends.

We stayed at the Park Plaza last weekend for my partners birthday. We were very impressed by the hotel and staff. The room was exceptional and catered for all comforts, Views were very good and the hotel very clean , We took up the Executive package and felt it was very good value for money, and like the idea we could have a lounge that was not packed

Selections above did not include everything...we were there to visit family on the South Bank. And for business. It was chosen for price and location. Outstanding studio room, lots of amenties, great bed/linens, huge towels, separate shower/bath, robes/slippers, ceiling to floor windows, microwave, mini frig., Coffee/tea, ironing board, hair dryer. Excellent staff and cleaning staff. Bar/cafe food good and reasonable. Close to London Eye, Parliament, Thames River Taxi and Starbucks.

Best value for money, particularly if you travell with children, because room and breakfast are free for them. Hotel location is really convenient, the London eye and many other interesting things are at a walking distance, and for longer excursions there is an underground station (Waterloo) at 300 meters. Food is just correct, not bad, but if I have to mention something which could be improved I would point on the cuisine.

We were most impressed with the room. A fantastic view of the London Eye. There was plenty of space for the four of us. The restaurant was fantastic and the children were made to feel very special. The staff seemed to struggle with the amount of people they had to cater breakfast for. Both mornings we were taken to different parts of the hotel for breakfast. Staff seemed stressed and the whole thing was quite disorganised.

The studio apartment met our needs perfectly as we were travelling with an 11 year old grand daughter and needed the privacy provided by the 2 rooms separated by a corridor. Plenty of crockery and cutlery for eating in. Free washing machines and dryers in the laundry room were a great bonus. Location was great for sightseeing and near waterloo tube and rail stations. Plenty of restaurants in county hall. And our room on the 13th floor looked over the waterloo station lines which was fascinating (and perferctly quiet). Staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. Toilet lid had to be lowered to flush the toilet- bad design. We were originally upgraded to a junior suite which was bigger than the studio but the 2 rooms faced each other so there was no privacy and no bath. That room would be excellent for a disablerd person but did not meet our needs as the studio did.

The location was perfect just by the London Eye and Waterloo station. Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden & Soho were just 15 minutes walking. Good breakfast buffet with fast service. Nicely designed modern hotel. Our suite (room 829) had a great view of the London Eye. There is a small galley kitchenette with microwave, water warmer, and tiny fridge. The pull out sofa was great and separate bedroom (both with TVs). We also liked the pillow menu and having both a bathtub and shower with bathrobes! This hotel is expensive, but so are all hotels in London. I think for what you get it's worth it. They only allow you to use a small area in the baby fridge and the rest is for the minibar things. This wasn't an issue for us, but good to know if you had planned to use this as an actual kitchen. We could fit about three small juices in it, which was fine for the two days we were there.

I have stayed at this hotel several times while traveling for business and on holiday with my family. I am extremely disappointed in this visit. Our room was not cleaned properly when we arrived and it took several attempts over a two day period to unblock a drain in the bathroom and to finally relieve the bad smell in the room. Unfortunately, the worker had used all the toilet paper when cleaning and left us with none. The blowback from the blockage had also splashed grey water over my toiletries and I had to go out to purchase a new toothbrush, etc. While I am aware of things happening, the staff seemed not to care too much about my situation and were indifferent. After so many good visits, I am extremely upset with this one.

The location of the hotel is perfect for short stays in London! It was close to everything we needed to get to by hopping on the hop-on-hop-off buses. There was a nice little cafe right around the corner we went to for breakfast every day. The hotel was very accommodating, especially while traveling with a nine month old. We had the family suite and it was plenty big enough for all our needs! Well worth the price!!! Would def. Stay again! The one flaw I had about the hotel was that the bed was very firm. We slept fine regardless though because we were doing so much during the day.
