Excellent, friendly staff. Comfortable stay.
No parking facilities. Could not get the room temperature right, a little too warm & stuffy. Not sure if air conditioning was working properly.
I liked the location over everything else.
The cleaning of my room was very poorly done. They did not clean under the stands and only swept where was immediately visible to the eyes.
Location of hotel was Great for the London Eye 5 Mins, Houses of Parliament & Big Ben.10 Mins We found the Hotel staff were professional and pleasant.
Location and amenities. Italian restaurant very nice with excellent bread and good menu. Walls and windows must be insulated because you don't hear the traffic noise in your room. Staff were pleasant.
I requested an upgrade at extra cost and when we checked in it was a handicap suite with no bath. I did not request a handicap room and should have been given the proper upgrade. Also didn't like the front access with busses blocking the front on several occasions.
Each time i've stayed within Park Plazza Hotels rooms akways clean & tidy & fresh towels daily. Cleaning staff around hotel are always friendly & polite n say Goodmorning!
On whole the staff however on Front- desk are often blunt, unfriendly & generally rather rude. I find this odd as surely front- desk staff are first 'point of call' that us clients meet & find this very offputting indeed. On this occasion both the men & ladies gront- desk/ reception didn't even smile. The same is case with waitresses in Restaurants... curt & very unfriendly so we ate elsewhere out of the restaurant instead.
That we had to leave.
Business center downstairs New bar 2nd floor but small card
Noisy: bathroom of the next room loud Restaurant setup from 5 am until 12 pm!!! Quality of bed of my son (14) : a sofabed with thin matrass uncomfortable!!! No sauna found! No daylight in the parents'room Waiting too long at the reception and for the lift
The very large room.
That fact that I had booked the penthouse suite for my 40th birthday celebration, hoping to have a view of the London Eye and river Thames but instead I had a view of the train tracks leading into Waterloo Station.
Long wait for lifts at busy times. Junior suite had lounge area inside with no windows defeats the object of a view if you can only see it by standing at the window - you need a chair to sit and enjoy what you are paying for - we paid for an upgrade and did not use the lounge area at all. Not enough staff at busy breakfast time - had finished breakfast before we got tea and that was by hijacking a waitress.
The staff were friendly and helpful, food very good, bed comfortable, room very clean and the lifts were efficient and quiet.
Room overlooked the atrium so a bit gloomy.
Great location, kids friendly (1st floor breakfast, hotel activities for kids). The view was amazing (junior suite with big ben and London eye view). Free internet.
No parking, a bit small and get bust at breakfast time
Room facilities were good.
Had to ask for the third bed to be made up they also brought another towel. Why did they not know there were three in the room. Asked for quick entry in room for disabled mother but did not get a text until 2.50.
The glass toilet door nearly fell ONTOP of my young child he would have had serve injury they gave us a few soft drinks as a goodwill gesture and moved us to another room not impressed
Room was good although we changed as the first room was interior looking into building and very dark no daylight. Room with view was smaller but adequate. Views lovely Breakfast on Sunday was excellent especially the scrambled eggs perfect! Porters very helpful and friendly.
Shower screen did not prevent water on bathroom floor! No bar staff on terrace but think this will be addressed.
The close walk to all the destinations. Also loved the comfort of the room
Accommodation was superb, with spectacular views and an amazing shower. It also had effective air conditioning -- not often found in the UK. The balloons and treats provided to celebrate our son's birthday were unexpected and much appreciated. I could happily have stayed much longer.
Having to leave
Clean. Excellent service and staff.
Far away from Oxford st.
Staff we're helpful and went the extra mile to make the stay a great experience all round.
Abit behind with getting check ins ready for 2pm although they were more than happy to give us a table in the bar and a drink while we waited.
location, and view from room
not enough elevators.
The room was spacious, clean, well equipped an just the overall vibe of the hotel was great. Staff were welcoming from the start to the end of our trip. The location couldn't be better, just outside the London eye!! Would deffinately stay there again
The toilet roll holder was awkward, but other than that nothing
The air conditioner started leaking in the midnight.....The staff was nice but still, really could not fall asleep that night....
generally ok, as expected. nothing exceptional
payment for my stay was guaranteed by my employer. as i was to travel early next day, i had made a request for express check-out. by the time i asked for a copy of the bill, i was told that it was not available at the front office!! now i had no way of knowing that the charges made to my company were correct or not. very embarassing for all concerned.
location friendly doormen facilities free laundromat
being overcharged being woken at 4.30am as sun poured in through unpelmeted windows housekeeping repeatedly failed to restock room terrible bar fridge which didn't keep items cold average to below average room service meals
The hotel was roomy, well decorated, plenty amenities. I had very little contact with the staff...but when i did they were polite enough...the doormen were so nice and so polite...always, without fail, we got a good morning...or a good evening. Room was cleaned whether we asked for it or not...towels changed etc. Room was adequate for our needs if not a little cramped for 3 people. it was all well decorated and well presented and the air-con was amazing as it was very very hot. Bed was comfy and the pillows were great too. Lady who delivered breakfast was so very nice and polite.
Staff were polite enough when spoken to...but very little conversation or greetings. BATHROOM.....GLASS DOOR....SHARING WITH 2 MALES...EH NO!!!!...Be aware you can see through the door, not clearly...but you can see that your on the loo!! Shower door wouldn't close and water was all over the place...we had to jam it shut with a pkt of face wipes or the edge of a towel. milk wasn't replaced every day..so we just bought our own. Fridge is very little...next to the mini bar...so if you have kids make them aware the goodies in the other side are not for eating!! Lifts take a while especially in the morning...there are only 3...and there are 15/16 floors. we had breakfast twice...one take away x 3 @ £8.75 each and breakfast delivered to the room x 3 @ £15 each both with a £3 charge....didnt get everything we ticked on the list...sugar bowl had milk spilt in it all the sugar pkts were stuck together and were stinky from the milk....i do think the breakfasts are well over priced for what you get..as is the bar...£6 for bottle magners...beer is the same!! Plenty places nearby for breakfast...or go to a pret a manger..great pastry and coffee!!
The location was awesome
For the price of this hotel, I expected a much more elegant "London feel". Instead we arrived to a tiny lobby that didn't reflect the price and no view from the room. The room was set up great, it was just too modern. An assortment of coffees. The reason I picked it was it was close to the London Eye, restaurants, a train station with 3 blocks and a tube station just across the river. Perfect location.
