This luxury 4-star hotel is on the south side of the Thames River, just over a quarter mile from the London Underground (subway). It has free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs.
Score from 1148 reviews Very good
Comfortable bed. Quiet room, no noise, little light pollution. Close to Waterloo Station. No nonsense check in and check out.
I didn't care or need it but the TV was not working
free wifi, cleanliness , hygiene, room service, housekeeping
sent to wrong room initially, cheap quality decor and furnishings throughout whole hotel & rooms, too expensive per night, terrible selection of free tv, terrible selection of movies we paid for £25 per night, closet draw wouldnt close in our room, therefore closet light stayed on all night
Location was good, on walking distance and not so crowded as in the real center. Good balance
Breakfast: too long to wait room: second bed was really bad, lots of noice from the mezzanine during the night
Views of London eye breathtaking
Complimentary upgrade to a penthouse suite.
Leaving in the morning.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
When they were setting up for breakfast it was quite noisy and it woke me up.
good location for bus, tube clean room
but, the view is not good, I can see only station.
The location. I watched the Big Ben clock tower from my room.
Some small details, that staff easy fixed-f.ex. the safe box not working, but was replaced etc.
Staff were friendly enough.
Cold shower in the morning. Odd layout of room with bedroom being right by the door & corridor.
the kitchen facility was good
Room was on first floor - looking out on a brick wall - dark and gloomy. Sound insulation very poor - all the waste water pipes ran down the side of the room - every time someone above (all 13 stories) flushed a toilet it was deafening. If you come by car to London do NOT stay here - nowhere at the front to even unload the car and the recommended nearest car park is tiny, does not take reservations and was full for the whole three days of my stay. Budget to spend £35 a day to park in the open on the South Bank - or go elsewhere! 'Free wifi' is a misnomer - you get very slow (512kb) access for free - remember dial up internet access? If you want a reasonble speed the cost is £5 a day - that's £1825 per annum - anyone paying almost two thousand pounds at home for access to the internet? No - I though not! They must make more profit from internet access than anything else.
The staff are welcoming The bed was comfortable
No Phone network in the room, I can't call with my EE number?! We were 3 friends in the room, the room service didn't change the towels, The location wasn't good for us
Great location! Clean and loved the shower and bath
Kitchen facilites were great
Frosted glass on bathroom door - not sure we were fans of this, main bed very hard
Big rooms, very nice bed, great staff.
We have to check out!!
The staff couldn't be more helpful and so polite. This was my first visit and I would certainly stay there again. Good position for access to trains, busses and the Southbank Centre.
The location of the hotel was great not to far out of centre and not too far in. Right next to Westminster and Waterloo tube stations. Staff very helpful in the hotel. Rooms very modern and clean
We visited the restaurant on Valentine's evening with my partner. We had been really looking forward to it. We arrived at the restaurant ten minutes late which was our fault but we had also been waiting for the lift for five minutes which delayed us even more. We were waiting to be seated and the guy came over and said we were late and he had given our table away! I was shocked I said it's ten minutes he said no it's not its fifteen. There was free tables I could see. He then said he could give us a table in half an hour. I said ok so we went and had a drink. We then returned back to the restaurant on time by our watch and we weren't late then. He took us to our table gave us the valentines set menu which I didn't want as I saw it online and there wasn't much choice. I said we don't want this menu I want the normal one. He said oh right gave us the main menu then said we don't have any pizzas and ravioli. So it just really left pasta and lasagne on the menu. How can an Italian not have pizzas???? Online when I booked you didn't have to have the set menu. I thought the choice was so so poor and they way we were handle were. The food took ages and the waiter service was very very poor. We got some free drinks that night but I think they were in with set menu and then he relised we weren't having the set menu. I defiantly wouldn't eat here again after this experience. The restaurant is letting the hotel down.
We got a great room with a beautiful wiew over the London eye which was amazing. Staff was exstreamly lovely in the lobby. Loved the hotel and the room. Everything very clean which is not given in hotels in London
We had dinner one night in the bar, since the italian resturrant where only serving expensive valentines dinner. I ordered a ceasar salat and I did not expect to have anchovies on it (since it was not mentioned on the menu. The salat came with anchovies all over it. Since there is no way I can eat it I told the waiter about it and he took it back to the kitchen where the chef picked out the anchovies and told him to bring it to me again with the message that they can not through away food (it was a salat for crying out loud with dressing)!! Since the taste of the fish is really strong it was all over the salat and I could not eat it. The waiter felt sorry and did not charge me for the salat and I was really thankful but this chef was not not my Valentine thats for sure. I went to bed hungry and disapointed with the service and this pretty much ruined the night.
Location is very good and the styling and cleanliness of the bedrooms was also good. The hotel is mainly child friendly and the staff around the hotel were very attentive, just need to carry this through to the front desk.
10-15 minute wait in line to check in despite there being staff who appeared available. Lack of acknowledgement by staff resulted in an awkward moment when someone walked to the front of the queue and the staff would have let them if they hadnt been pulled up on it! No urgency or ownership gives a bad first impression.
Fast and efficient checkin, no fuss. Standard of food v good. Rooms very nicely appointed.
Restaurant queuing for breakfast. Room price can vary a lot.
The rooms were fantastic especially on the 11th floor with the views to complement it. Staff couldn't do enough for us.
Couldn't complain about anything
Very comfortable, clean and good customer service :) Excellent location!! London eye and Big Ben less than 5 min walking.
We couldn't open the "balcony" door and there was no window in the studio room. The cleaning product smell was so strong that made be feel a bit nauseated and we couldn't get rid of the smell. Also the knocking on the door every hour was a bit annoying as we were trying to relax a little bit. But overall was a very good stay.
The view was amazing
Excellent location and laundry facilities
Free wifi was only for 512kb which is pathetic
Beautiful view, fantastic service, lovely suite.
Room was cold, even after service. Could hear air blowing at all times.
The staff were very helpful, the hotel room was spotless. Position of hotel was very well placed for getting in and out of London. Would definitely stay again.
