We were a group of three families (five adults and four children) and chose Park View Guest House for its close proximity to Alton Towers (approx 6 miles away), we couldnt have made a better choice ! The hosts made us all feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them, we recieved excellent service, from the friendly welcome from Stuart and Jill, to the spacious rooms (including a great family room which can sleep a family of five), to the excellent breakfast they put on for us. We would definately recomend staying at Park View Guest House, we will be in the future !!!

Very accommodating and friendly. When I made the booking through booking.com I requested an early check-in as we were attending a wedding that started at 4. They called me back within 5 minutes to say that this would be fine.

They where very welcoming and friendly and the room we had was very spacious. The pool table room was extremely dirty with cigarettes butts full in ashtray and on floor, cobwebs everywhere, its a shame as its a lovely extra and could be a fantastic feature.also we booked the family room, havin our son with us and there was only tea, coffee and bath towels for 2 people.

We received a very warm welcome. The room was spacious even with 4 people staying in it (we booked the family room) The surprise that Stu the proprietor brought up to us after a long days travel was a lovely touch and was most appreciated. The breakfast was execellent and the home made fruit dish was delicious. I would highly recomend the establishment.

We received such a friendly welcome and were greeted like long lost friends. We only stayed for 1 night on a trip to Alton Towers, 15 minutes drive away, so an excellent location. Wonderful breakfast, hot buffet plus cold options. I can definitely recommend the fresh pineapple with raspberries, and the freshly home made banana and cinnamon muffins! It was a cold night for May, so the rooms could have been warmer as the heating turned itself off quite early. The double bed was a little springy for me, but quite ok for one night.

The proprietors, Jill and Stewart were very warm and welcoming, even though we arrived late after a day at Alton Towers. Our room was lovely, and we were given a family room, even though there were only two of us, which was lovely and clean and very light and airy. the parking and gardens were also great. Breakfast was fantastic!!!! There was everything you could want, and Stewart and Jill were around chatting with guests and making sure we had coffee, tea and toast. The breakfast was in the form of a serve yourself buffet, which I though was great. The dining room was lovely, very light and airy, and tastefully decorated, as was the entire house!!! We had a great stay there, and I'm booking a room there for myself and my neice and her two children in August as it's a lovely place and extremely good value for money. There were no complaints from either myself or my friend, we loved the place.

“The Manor Guest House certainly lived up to its excellent reputation. A family run guest house with a very warm reception, friendly and helpful staff at all times. Our family room was warm, clean and perfect for our needs. We had our dinners there during the time we stayed and the meals were home made, freshly prepared with local ingredients and reasonably priced. We also found the location to be ideal for the Alton Towers resort. We highly recommend The Manor to others.” Christine, Dumfries |
