The location was ideal as we were there to visit the main sights of York and we didnt need to drive. The bathroom was far too small - it was cold in an evening until the heating came on for a short time then went off again.Breakfast was limited to one hour - should be two hours at least. When you have a weekend away you expect a lie in!!! |

The location to the city centre was very good. Nothing was too much trouble for owner and staff, will definately recommend and revisit ourselves We had difficulty finding it but directions printed from your link was from the A1 not the A19 which was more accessible from where we live. Also breakfast finished too early for us at 9am however the manager/owner did agree to 9.10am, maybe 9.30am would be better - after all we were on holiday |

The guest house was just a ten minute walk from the minster so it was the perfect location for us. The room was too small and as was the bathroom/shower room. |

The hospitality was excellent, namely from Hallum(not sure of correct spelling), the only member of staff on duty during our stay. |

The staff is very accommodating, and the breakfast good. The room was a bit small, but generally comfortable. The window afforded a nice view. Even though it wasn't terribly cold out, it was nice to have the radiator on to warm the room as it did get a bit chilly during the previous night. The bathroom rugs stick like velcro to stocking feet. Very odd! |

The room was small but lovely and very comfortable. Good location to town, about 10 mins walk which means although accesable do not get the inner city noise. Fantastic Breakfast. All in all very satisfyed with my stay. The intercom on the door appears to be broken (or no one answers) and so you have to ring to get in which can take a while. However the fact that the door is locked meant that we felt safe and didnt mind leaving valuables there during the day - so could actually be considered a posative. |

We arrived 4 hours before the official check-in time and were able to check in immediately. On our last day we were able to leave our bags and were given a key so that we could collect them at any time. The staff were friendly and helpful. |
