Staff were very attentive and polite and friendly. It was clean. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

THE STAFF!! the staff are pleasant you are not pressured into coming back at a certain time, discount given for the BEST Indian restaurant we have ever had! The breakfast isn't the best but the room was lovely! will definitely stay again

the breakfast im not a fan of a full English and the bacon was a bit greasy

Our room was great it was large enough for my husband and I . We had a quiet meal in due to the bad weather, it had a great little table and we had dinner in. Coffee and tea provided also biscuits, that was a first. Full English breakfast or like me anything from the list.

The guesthouse was small but clean and very friendly. The rooms were decorated very contemporary and modern. The breakfast was nice however I would have liked more choice than a full english as you dont feel like eating them every day. The guesthouse was a 10 minute walk away from york centre which was a good distance not to hear any noise and also not too far a walk away. There was parking which is a bonus in the city as parking anywhere else you would have to pay for. The family also have an indian restaurant where you get 15% off if you are staying with them and the food was lovely and well priced. I would rate the guesthouse 8/10.

More choice on the breakfast

The staff were very welcoming, friendly & helpful for enquiries about the city. The convenience to the centre and shops/attractions was very good too. Was not difficult to find either.

I found the breakfast limited, not having cereal or fruit available and the cooked breakfast was not all cooked, having cold beans & hash brown.

The welcome was very friendly,the food was good and the staff where excellent.The hotel was well decorated throughout.Nothing was too much trouble for them.their knowleague of York was also excellent.We will be staying there again in the near future.

Close to city centre , but away from the hussle and bussle. Plenty of places to visit nearby. You can park the car at back of the guest house with cctv and is within an easy walking distance to plenty of nice bars and restaurants. Room was spacious , clean and had a v comfy bed. Had a nice welcome and friendly atmosphere.

Friendly staff, clean house. Very accessible to city & very affordable.

Nice clean family room (max 5 people). Nice and warm. Friendly staff. Free off road parking. Good breakfast. 5-10 mins walking from York Minster (depending on your walking speed). Newsagents 2m up the road. Overall, I'd stay there again, no problem.

Hot water not so hot at peak times in morning.

The staff were warm and welcoming each morning at breakfast time and each time you came back from being out for the day.

As its a small bed and breakfast the water supply was used quickly by other guests, we had to wait most mornings for hot water to get showered.
