Staff very friendly
The staff couldn't do enough for us. Everything was a pleasure. A friendly family run hotel/motel with a cosy bar.
Shame no dinner available weekends. But the breakfast was 5 star !
The room was quiet, clean and a good size. I could park my car right outside my room. excellent breakfasts
Very limited choice of draught beers (one bitter and one lager), although bottled beers are available. Broadband quality is intermittent (a lot of people sharing the same BT connection) Evening meals were OK, but typical pub fare and not very imaginative. Going into any town in the evening would require use of your car. Right on a roundabout next to a very busy road (used to be the A303). The hotel and rooms are well insulated for sound, but it could be a bit of a wait to be able to get on to the road in the mornings
Staff support Breakfast
Ease of location and parking Friendly staff and helpful
No evening food
Good Food and room was clean and comfortable
Free Wi-Fi Clean Spacious Good Value
rooms a little dated
Convenient just off the main highway near alternative eating places. Excellent breakfast, Good location for siteseeing, pleasant and informative staff. Will book in again when passing that way.
Like most hotels etc, only one chair when two are using the room, not a hardship for one night but uncomftable if staying longer.
Proximity to Stonehenge.
Thin walls. Heard couple next door having fun. Poor drainage of shower stall. Beware turnout from driveway due to cars exiting adjacent roundabout at high speed.
Second time I've stayed here. Rooms are comfortable , staff excellent and overall a really good place to stay.
Unable to have a meal in at week ends, although the Boot and the Crown are both quite close
Location great, staff friendly.
Odd one this, for price expected reasons le standard, especially with booking.com rating of 8.1 very good, it wasn't. However it was clean and tidy but dated, needs TLC big time. Seemed old fashioned but little charm. Booking.com rating is too high.
Helpful, friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Plenty of big towels. Excellent breakfast.
Lack of a hairdrier in the room.
We were given excellent service in all respects, most especially when we left out suitcase behind and received a prompt call to prevent us going too far without it! An occasion saver as we were en route to a wedding! thank you! Excellent breakfast. Excellent place to stop over en route.
Only comment was we couldn't eat in the motel that night, but had a lovely supper at the pub close by, so no real issue.
Very Friendly Helpfull Staff Extremely Comfortable bed Very nice Breakfast
the staff and proprietors were very kind and attenteive to my needs, as I am disabled. well cared for furniture and facilitie, cleanliness very high. everyone was kind and welcoming
the pillows very hard, the toilet seat was rather low for adults.
Forthrightness of place (well situated, comfortable rooms. Staff attentive with rapid service). Owner/receptionist very helpful, jovial & patient. Wi-fi fast, free and guest automatically informed on how to connect. Excellent breakfast, rapidly served. Local pub not too bad for food.
It's location very best to the A303. The staff were very friendly.
The smell if fat being cooked throughout the main part of the hotel
Very Quite, a large room, plenty of tea, coffee & milk, the beds seemed very comfortable and the staff very willing to make our stay good. Food not too bad.
Just the shower very slippery you had to be careful when getting out of the shower.
Some staff very helpfull and friendly and English breakfast.
No laundry facilities. Shopping facilities too distant. Showers too hard to operate. No fridg in room.
Convenient stop off on route to the West Country
Dated decor and cheap furnishing Very poor shower - almost impossible to regulate the temperature Mould on bathroom wall Overpriced for the quality of accommodation Urgent refurb required!!
Made so welcome on arrival. Staff very helpful. We stopped in one of chalet type accommodation and were upgraded. It was very comfortable and clean. Would stop there again when in the area.
Tranquility and cleanliness of the accommodation. Manager was also helpful when I was checking out.
Wifi was poor, and connection was hardly maintained for a minute. A better broadband/wifi would be great.
Breakfast was excellent and meeting people in the bar
the walls are rather thin
