We had a gloomy basement room, the safe did not lock, the fridge was not cold, the sheets were thin. On arriving back from a concert we couldn't get anything to eat or drink at the hotel so had to trek out onto the streets to find a tesco that was open all night! Breakfast was a 'scrum' - I asked for knife and was told 'no we don't have any'. I tried a crosissant and it tasted like rubber. All in all a distatrous place. The concierge was great and very helpful. |

The staff were very helpful and the common areas were spacious and well appointed. The bedrooms were well-equipped although rather small. I had a live cockroach in my room on the second floor as did my sister in her room on the ground floor. When told about this, the staff did not seem at all phased by it - I assume they and the cleaning staff were already aware of the problem. Also, on the Saturday evening, the bar was not open as the duty staff did not turn in and it was left to the porter to serve drinks. |

The location of the hotel and the fact that 4 adults could share a room therefore reducing costs. The breaksfast was not up to much and the dining room was very small and we had to eat our breaksfast in the lobby. The first room we were given the air conditioning was broken (it was 30 degrees outside) so we had to change rooms. One member of staff didn't seem to speak very good English and it was quite hard to check out. |

Bed was comfortable Aircon didn't work, room smelt 'musty', bathroom smelt like a urinal, TV looks like it came out of a Christmas cracker and had more snow than most Christmases, decor is outdated and tired, towels are thin and small |

Quiet location but convenient to Gloucester Road tube station.Very good breakfast but could do with another toaster. I booked a King Room with a king bed but got a small attic room with a small window which was far too small for the king bed in it - the room was clean but a number of things were faulty - I advised the hotel of all of these things both verbally and on the comment card and they said they would look into them. When I booked a King Room I expected to get a bigger than standard room and certainly not a small attic room and when I addressed this with the hotel on checkout they said we were put into this room because the air-conditioning was broken on the other 2 floors which had king rooms. I think we should have been told this on check in as I would have much preferred a decent sized room with a decent sized window and a normal double bed. Generally, I would have rated this hotel as 2-star not 3. |

Fairly spacious twin room, well cleaned with adequate facilities. Nice reception experience with knowledgable and helpful concierge. Lovely looking building with good standard of decor. Hotel is easy to find and well placed for Natural History museum/Science museum, Royal Albert Hall and not far from Knightsbridge for Harrods etc. Dissapointing breakfast experience, admittedly the hotel was full. For this and only this I could not recommend the hotel to any body else at this time, but for ourselves we would give it the benefit of doubt and hope it was a one off. |

I liked the fact that it was wery close to subway and you could easily go where ever in town. I also liked that there were clear information from the hotel personel so that you didn't get confused. Not really. Could have been nice with warmer duvets. |

It was what I would expect from a West London city hotel. The food at breakfast was not the best quality, i.e. the juice was long life, not fresh. The air conditioning in the room did not work properly, on the hottest night of the year so far, but any enquiries about it drew a blank response. |

Excellent location very near to the tube. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the 'double' was a 'king size', the bathroom was clean. The aircon worked quickly and well. The inclusive breakfast was a serve-yourself buffet - not the best, but adequate and not nearly enough to stop me recommending this hotel. |

Helpful staff at the reception. Room was very clean and having a quad room for 3 people meant it was spacious enough. Beds were comfortable. A fee of £1.00 per bag for left luggage on the day of departure. I've never had this before at a hotel. |

The hotel offered excellent value for money in the centre of London. Staff were friendly and very willing to help. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional throughout the hotel, probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed. |

It was nice and central, price was reasonable. No air conditioning during a heat wave made for a very unpleasant night. |

the bed was good, the room was fine, the breakfast was very good, the personel was friendly and good, the room was clean and every day clean towels. it was very noisy (thin wooden floor and thin walls), the bathroom was very small, especially the area were the wastable was and the showerarea. the last morning there was no water at all, so no toilet using, no washing or showering (especially very irritating for us because we had to leave the hotel that day, and in the evening we went home to Holland, so we had the whole day and we want to be a little fresh of course) |
