Breakfast service was unorganised, slow service , everytime they fetch food out etc fryed breakfast is vanished in seconds , everyone waiting , waiting for coffee 20 mins , staff in restuarant under staffed and running round like headless chickens etc , would not stay again for that purpose otherwise lovely bar and reception area .
Design & decoration of hotel Helpfulness of most staff Breakfast cleanliness of hotel
lack of heating in bathroom, floor very cold too room cold when arrived but dealt with by staff after second asking
It was easy to access the tube. There were a variety of types of eateries. The staff were very helpful and seemed to like working there. There were shops and post office in walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. We would come again.
There was no tag to say please do not disturb. It is unsettling to have to jump out of bed at 9.am to answer a tap on the door. The internet access didn't work for us. This did cause unnecessary irritation when looking for information.
Bedroom and en suite comfortable and good temperature in the both. Furnishings good standard. Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful with food allergies.
nice lobby, good breakfast, nice piano bar; room quiet (no noise from the street), very good shower, hotel close to the metro station
Room very small; the bathroom was absolutely glacial (no heating whatsoever there, it was really cold inside). On the day of check-out the housekeeping knocked three times on our door in the morning (before 10 o'clock). I find that very rude. The wi-fi was paid (in the room), and not cheap, which we just found too much because the room was more than 200 EUR per night anyway. We asked for a taxi when leaving; they said ok but called what turned out to be a private transfer provider (it was just a private car, without the taxi meter) - who charged us more than we would have paid for a normal taxi. It is a way of tricking clients into paying more that I particularly dislike.
Room very comfortable, not too much noise considering we were overlooking the Cromwell Road. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, waiting staff very helpful - plenty of coffee provided. Also only 3 minutes from Gloucester Road underground station.
There should have been 3 of us in the room, in the event one person couldn't come as she was unwell. If there had been 3, it would have been a bit cramped.
Our room was quite big and cosy. There was even enough space for two suitcases on the shelf. Bed was very comfortable. The water tap in the bathroom was conventional (not like in many other hotels where there are two taps – one for hot and another for cold water). Hotel is quiet, well decorated and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty; breakfast room was nice and cosy. Internet in the lobby was good and free of charge. Very close to underground station.
Everything was perfect and I strongly recommend it to everybody.
We booked three rooms for two days at this hotel. However, after one of our party made an additional booking by mistake, the hotel double charged but has refused to reimburse us. Would never stay here again.
The location was excellent. Near the metro station. Hyde Park can be reached in less than 10 minutes by walk. Many attractions are nearby.
The room was a little bit too small, but that's normal for a hotel with this location and at this price.
Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast. Comfortable room. Close to underground station.
Card for my door did not work 4 times on a three night stay.
Well located in a very nice area of London. Plenty of public transporation options to travel accross London. Good variety of breakfast.
I cannot understand why do I have to pay 10 euros for internet access? No free wifi anywhere in the Hotel. Bad quality beds and mattress. The triple room is very small.
Room was spacious with very smart en suite bathroom. Gown and slippers with facilities if in room fridge, coffee/tea making and safe. Breakfast was buffet style so choose what you like with flask of piping hot coffee served at table.
Bathroom was very cold - no radiator or underfloor heating. A range of toiletries but no conditioner or shower cap. No IPad Dock or complimentary wifi.
Location great only 3 mins from Gloucester Road so access to London on tube great for business and leisure.
Room was fine ...but noise from the main road and bar above was noisy as we were in the basement
Everything pleasant and comfortable but no wow factor. Nice deep carpets in corridors
In the morning no hot water . You don't want plumbers in the room or having to relocate early morning. Mentioned at checkout and staff just said thanks for letting us know. TV channels limited. No view to speak of. Breakfast buffet lacked fish or much veggie option
Clean comfortable room with excellent shower. Quiet. 5 minutes walk from tube - usually when hotels make this claim it is 5 minutes for an Olympic athlete without any luggage but 2 pensioners with trolley cases managed it in 5 mins. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.
Would have liked cooked tomatoes at breakfast but really a very small niggle.
Good staff good breakfast ideal stay for visiting London near tube station and museums
Showers not hot
Location for us was excellent
Trouble with razor point in bathroom
Fast check in, Breakfast was good, bed comfortable, reasonable room size for London
Slow checkout, having to pay for WiFi , very loud music in bar
Central location, good room and staff. Great breakfast, sensibly priced drinks, less than £4.00 for a pint of Grolsch!
Not much to dislike, the main thing is no free wi-fi in rooms folr guests. I can just about understand charging business users but not personal use in rooms.
Good location, excellent breakfast, reasonable price
Compared to previous stays at the same hotel, the room was this time small and the bed was terrible. Too narrow for two presons and the springs very not supporting anymore.
Excellent location. Had tickets for Jools Holland at Royal Albert hall, which was a ten minute walk. Very comfortable room, were upgraded to a suite, which was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.
Microscopic bathroom, air conditioning too loud to use and a window that hardly opened.the breakfast buffet food was only lukewarm
Convenient location. Clean room. Maintenance prompt and efficient once contacted.
No hot water in the shower, due to broken thermostat. Safe not working on arrival. Room should be checked for faults before they are occupied by new guests. Dirty tea cups remained after room was made up.
There is only 2 things that I did not like about this hotel, both are minimal issues.
There is a service charge for ice delivery but if you go to the bar yourself they will fill your bucket for free. The Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby unless you are willing to pay for it and it is slow. The paid Wi-Fi is not any better than the free lobby Wi-Fi.
