Parkside International Hotel  

What did I like? Nothing. Staff rude and intimidating resorting to strong arm tactics. Check out one day early as was too frightened to stay another night, Appaling someone needs to take a serious look at this hotel and the methods they employ.

What dont I like? Staff rude and aggressive, Rooms - mould on shower curtain and tiles. Shower spluttered out when it decided to work. No hairdryers in room despite website advertising that there was. Room door would not lock. No literature in room at all. Food mediocre and terrible service - did I mention staff rude? Avoid this at all costs.

Value for money

the size of the rooms were good and they were comfortable.

the hotel lacks atmophere in the public areas. in fact the bar was only opened if someone walked in to get a drink. I was the only one in for breakfast. i think it is busier during the week when contractors use it.

The Night staff were helpful.

The bathroom was very poor and the shower cold. Also the staff member dealing with reception was quite rude with very limited conversation. I had queried my bill as the email confirmation ahd stated I had paid on booking and he demanded payment again.

When dropping my bags off in my room I noticed I didnt have any clean towels they were all over the floor dirty and wet. I asked at reception if they could place clean ones in my room - this did not happen I was very disapointed in the service

Clean, fairly modern and quite comfortable

Easy access from m4 only stayed one night so no time to tour area

Lighting in rooms was quite dim . only 1 pillow each & the beds were very firm . we seemed to be the only residents { new years eve} and was looking forward to a full english breakfast but was disappointed.

I booked this hotel for 2 of my work colleagues. They checked in & went to their room to find the beds unmade and an open can of beer on the bedside table & when complained the staff did not apologise, were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful & reluctantly gave them another room. At breakfast they were not spoken to by the waiting staff and did not get offered a cooked breafast so had to make do with cereal etc as they had to get to their appointment and couldn't wait any longer to be served. The guys requested that I provide feedback on this hotel as it should not be rated 4*. They have stayed in better 2* hotels.

Quick result to a problem with the room

Different receptionist on returning to hotel did not make eye contact. Wonders if was bothered to know who was staying at hotel and didn't make me feel secure

Pleasanrt surprise based on "budget" feedback. Room clean and decent size. Basic tv - analogue channels. Meal - Lamb rump - good. Good and efficient breakfast - cooked breakfast in and out in under 20 mins.

Lack of tv channels

Cig burns in bed linen. Broken Toilet seat. In desperate need of a refurbishment.

The restaurant was not very nice and the service at the restaurant left a grest deal to be desired (evening meal, not at breakfast)

The lighting in the room was too dark, the bathroom light didnt work, the bathroom still had used soap on the side of the sink. Not comfortable at all.
