The hotel was excellent, rooms spotless, modern, (except rather warm)comfortable, classy hotel but not child friendly, plus would not suit people who like a drink as bar was v.small&expensive, but breakfast, and the overall stay was excellent, all quality foods used, friendly owners, very classy, but simple.Very pleased! Just that our room (apparently the hottest!) was too warm even with the radiators off! not a bad thing in the dead of winter! |

Extremeley good value, helpful and friendly staff willing to cater for special requests (lunch), good food and wine in relaxed environment. Rooms a little small, creaking floorboards in adjacent room only minor irritations. |

When we arrived the hotel was completely closed and everyone in bed at 8 minutes past twelve, even though I stated we would be arriving late due to late arrival at Bristol airport. When we eventually woke the owner at twelve twenty he was most unpleasant. Although he did apologise the next morning. Must have had a bad day. |

We liked the comfort & cleanliness of all areas and the overall pleasantness of owners and staff. Nice comfortable room, super breakfast menu and nice quiet location. Good meals in restaurant. Not a thing. |

The peaceful location and the friendly staff. The water in the ensuite was not drinkable and this fact was not labelled above the basin, although glasses were provided. We only found out after reading the A-Z fact pack in the room. This said 'do not drink the water unless you boil it first'. Only one 33cL bottle of fresh water was provided between two of us for the stay. If we wanted more we had to buy it from the bar. We don't expect to have to boil water before drinking it in the UK! |

We were made very welcome by the staff. The room, although rather small, was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was particularly good, with a wide choice of menu, well-cooked and presented. The location is very quiet. Although classed as an hotel, we felt the Parklands was in fact more of a luxury guest house and found it slightly claustrophobic. |

On the High Street, in the heart of the market town of Marlborough in Wiltshire, this beautifully preserved Georgian building offers free parking, great food and charming individually decorated rooms. |
Lydiard House Conference Centre is set within an elegant Grade I listed mansion house overlooking 260 acres of parkland very close to junction 16 of the M4. |
