Parklands Hotel  

This is a lovely hotel in wonderful surroundings. The couple who own are very professional and friendly and the facilities are very good. They stock bottles of the local micro brewery real ale, very nice for a camra member. The rump steak was the best I have had in years and the breakfast was also very good.

Quiet. Professional service.

It was a very cold night and only one fire was lit. I did think that the fires in the bar and other rooms could have been lit as well. I would have helped the atmosphere as well as the temperature!

Convenient location for overnight stop enroute to bath then wells. Lovely cosy small hotel very welcoming on cold winter day. Comfortable room followed by lovely choice of cooked breakfast before we set off again on our travels. Will definately use again and recommend to friends.

Small but very comfortable. A lovely welcome and attention throughout the weekend which makes it a very easy place to stay. Good locally sourced food, simple menu perfectly prepared, extra strong coffee available the moment we asked. Hotel very well placed for a selection of White Horses, Avebury, walking, riding and Kennet and Avon canal. An hour from Bath and Bristol. Ticks pretty much all the boxes!

The owners were friendly and obliging. It is relatively good value. It is right on the Ridgeway path, so convenient for walkers. It is very clean. Breakfast was tasty, and offered more variety than usual.

It was a friendly little hotel so convenient re our visit to family. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and the choice of breakfast menu catered for many tastes. Dining room was clean and welcoming. In all offered good value for money.

I stayed there with a friend for 1 night on a brief stopover. I was pleasantly surprised at the modern decor, cleanliness, and friendliness of this small hotel in a quiet village location. The restaurant is small but very cosy with a romantic charm. The owners have obviously invested a lot of money and thought in creating just the right setting. The menu was fairly limited but our meals were very well prepared. The staff were very friendly but not over familiar and nothing was too much trouble. The room was smaller than it looked in the photos but it was still a nice room.

Location - not far from Swindon but far enough to be remote. The restaurant - small but romantic and comfortable. Helpful staff.

The staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. It was good value for money and the breakfast and meal we had in the restaurant was very good.

The bar area was quite small.

The food is all locally sourced and is delicious. We had really comfortable stay of one night.it is very near Marlbrough yet out in the country. The owners are very welcoming .
