Large bed. Room rather cramped with dated decor. Reception area smelled of curry. No iron. Cracked sink and chipped bath. Electrical socket fittings loose, one did not work.

Location and comfort It's a bit shabby. When it was a Hilton I stayed there for sveeral weeks at a time but since it has changed hands the fabric of the building and rooms has deteriorated.

Extremely comfortable mattress and good water pressure in the shower. Quiet room. The location is ideally situated close to the Green Park Station and Kensington Gardens. The reception desk staff, with the exception of one 40-something seasoned man, was not very helpful. Take your own itineraries, maps, etc. Hallway and elevator woodwork highly worn and scratched. Not very elegant for 4 * star.

Staff were great fun, location for a meal at the Hard Rock was perfect a 5 min walk! Getting out of London as there was a protest on Park Lane but we were just unlucky that hundreds of cyclists chose that day - so best to check such things in future!

Everything was as I expected in this locality. I appreciated the late Sunday breakfast (11.00 am) after a heavy night before! Good value considering the area Room (and bed) was a little small for two people - especially had we been staying longer.

It was a good location for the event I attended at the Royal Oversees Club in St James Place. That Breakfast isn't included in the room price, it's "extra".

Price Manager was very arogant. Rooms were small, comfy but very out dated. My bath enamel was missing and the bathroom was a bit gruby.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. Since the booking was done online, the admin desk at my office provided the credit card details and thought payment was done. I was surprised on arrival when told the payment is not done. It took about 4-6 hours to arrange for the payment, but the reception desk alloted me the room immediately, so I could take rest after a long travel and will not get delayed for my business meetings. Most important, a thoughtful gesture on part of reception saved me lot of embarrasment. The heaters provided in the room were not adequate enough to beat the extreme cold conditions outside, though on request they put up additional units in the room.

Friendly welcome, clean and tidy as you would expect. Location was handy for the tube and Hyde Park, though down a narrow street. Bath robes included, though I did not need one. Ideal hotel for a quick stay. Single room wardrobe was not deep enough for coat hangers, so they have to hang diagonally across the rail.
