In the heart of Whitley Bay, this traditional family-run guesthouse offers great value, comfort, good service and free Wi-Fi, alongside a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. On a quiet avenue near the seafront, overlooking Whitley Park, the Park Lodge is just minutes from Whitley Bay's beach, the indoor leisure pool, the town centre and the metro station. The convenient location and good transport links also make the guesthouse a good base for visiting historic Northumbria and all areas of Newcastle and Tyne and Wear. Established for 30 years, the Park Lodge continues to provide quality service at good value rates. All of the rooms have Freeview TV's, hairdryers and hot drink facilities. Based on its location, quality of room,cleanliness, price and freshly cooked breakfast this hotels is one of the best in the area. The friendly owner Liz went to great lengths to ensure our stay was stress free and very enjoyable. Top of my list next time I am in the area. Could not fault it.

I particularly liked the location of the hotel close to the beautiful and large Whitely Bay beach and links above. A highlight of the day was to walk with my dog along the beach after a delicious breakfast which was always very good indeed and wilth good choice. Room very comfortable with good facilities. Landlady very nice and helpfull. Dog friendly, though be sure to have it smelling fresh before visit. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served at one large table which we enjoyed as the other 2 couples there were very pleasant and interesting. Liz was extermely helpful, recommending and booking a meal for us in a local Italian restaurant. We felt Park Lodge should have been called a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. Not everyone would want to eat breakfast at the same table as others.

The landlady Liz was very welcoming and friendly. We were staying there as we were going to a family funeral and Liz was very respectful. The breakfast was superb. The accommodation was very clean and tidy although a wee bit cramped. I would definitely go back there or recommend friends/family No complaints. Although it would be nice if the parking had a dropped kerb as I wasn't keen on driving my car over the kerb.

Ideal location for the purpose of our visit. The rooms were very comfortable, warm and quiet. The breakfast was very good, especially the fruit and croissants.

Friendly comfortable and warm greeted with tea and home made cake . Nothing too much trouble. Best bed I have slept in for ages. Would highly recommend and they accepted our dog with no charge. The weather!!!!!

Excellent location with good free parking. Very comfortable room and good en suite. Lovely to have variety of drinks and a kit kat to nibble!! Breakfast excellent. Loved the fresh berries to start Nothing
