On the edge of Nottingham's vibrant Lace Market area, this modern hotel has a 24-hour front desk and a stylish bar. The Ibis Hotel is half a mile from Nottingham Train Station.
Score from 1343 reviews Very good
The location, staff and overall facilities were very satisfactory.
Queuing for breakfast, then waiting 5 mins for two slices of toast. They should invest in some modern toasters!
The staff were very helpful, accommodating and polite xx
Car parking although good location I felt at 15-00 per car was rather high as per couple we had two cars
Lovely staff, got upgraded at no extra cost, great gym looking out over Nottingham and lovely breakfast 10/10.i have recommended this hotel to work colleuge's who are booked in next week.
Met erasure in the bar! Great breakfast
Underground car park advertised but not available. Pillows were very soft cushions Rooms were tired and in need of some TLC
Good location, close to the centre of Nottingham for pubs, restaurants.
Check in was for 2, but room not ready when I checked in just after 2. Has to leave bags in reception. Shower had no power whatsoever. Really not good value for £150 I paid.
1. bed 2. cleanliness 3. room service (kitchen) 4. front desk staff 5. complimentary wifi
1. room facing noisy air-con ducts 2. noisy air-conditioning in room 3. air-con warm up very slow 4. air-con auto-terminate before getting warm 5. wake-up call late 10 mins 6. wifi auto-terminate after a bit of inactivity
Loved the location and comfort of the room. Room service on time and staff very friendly. Check-in and check-out times work very well.
I stayed here to visit my cousin at uni. We had an amazing time. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was spot on and I couldn't fault the decor. I will definitely return!
Nothing. It was perfect!
AC unit was loud enough so that the other sounds from and around the hotel were muffled
The AC unit in my room was really loud
Location and cleanliness were excellent
WiFi would not work would connect then cut off immediately complete waste of time
Room was lovely, staff were very pleasant. Close to town centre.
Parking was expensive.
The bed was comfy. The reception was really nice. Mini bar provided. Safe was wicked.
The fact that the shower head both of them was leaking water from the pipe then they upgraded us to a better room but it was next to the noisy lifts. It's not worth the price I paid at all I won't staying there again due to my experience
Location Good breakfast selection Staff
Offered three rooms, none to our preferences but running late to meet friends so took 3rd one. Dirty carpets, revolting stain, covered with the bin and poor quality bedding
Location and decor
The size of my room. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in.
I don't usually write reviews but I have to take this opportunity to let others know what a fantastic hotel this is. We only stayed for 1 evening but wish we had longer. The facilities were everything we expected and more. The service was amazing in particular Roy, the gentleman who served us at breakfast. We will use this hotel again in the future.
All staff very pleasant Cleanliness of hotel good and room 408 very clean, a nice little touch was a small platar of strawberrys and chocolate in our room as it was our wedding anniversary
The only fault was the traffic noise/ bin men/ lorrys waking us at 0430 in the morning ( but this is a city location) overall a good hotel, would probably ask for a quiter room next time.
They assigned us to a nice view room
Car parking signage is not clear
The bedroom was a good size, and the selection of food at the breakfast buffet was also good. City centre car park on site.
The hotel public bar was loud and garish. There is a separate residents' bar but it is in a very uncomfortable area in reception. We had to wait over 20 minutes to be served, and then only when we went to find someone. None of the service was particularly good. The receptionists and some of the young waiting staff at breakfast appeared willing to help but lacked confidence. The waiter in charge at breakfast managed to make a request for a knife to peel an orange into a major drama. He wouldn't help himself and shouted at a waitress to deal with me. I was eventually told that my orange would have to be sent to the chef for him to peel it for me. The head waiter also leant over our table to pour an adjoining table coffee, which left me 6" under his arm pit. Not a pleasant start to the day! The hotel corridor smelt strongly of cigarette smoke particularly in the morning. In all, a disappointment We had stayed the previous three nights at a 4* in Nottingham which was excellent with an emphasis on quality and service. The Park Plaza was not in this league. The hotel and its staff sadly lacked quality, finesse and style.
Nice bathroom and facilities
Room a bit tired
To whom it may concern I have recently stayed in 1 of your establishments in Nottingham (UK) and am very disappoint to inform you that I highly regret doing so, from the second we entered the hotel I was unsure as to wether or not we received the correct assistance and felt like it was a rushed and incorrect service we were welcomed with, when checking in to the hotel the lady behind the reception seem to not have the correct rooms available and stated "oh yeh we do have a room ready if you want it" this left me uneasy as I was then unsure if we had received the correct room, when we entered the room it seemed what we had been given to stay in was nothing at all like what we had paid for, as the room was a lot smaller and not as portrayed or described on the website. The bed was horrific as it was 2 single beds pushed together without the correct mattress which left me and my wife having a terrible nights sleep as 1 of us always ended up sliding down the centre of the mattress, this was an awful experience as I had take my wife away for our anniversary and we couldn't even share the same bed, I was quite disappointed as we went for the better room to make it a bit more of a special occasion but this was ruined due to the terrible sleeping arrangements, also the lighting in the room was atrocious as there was bulbs out and when we were getting ready to go out in the evening we could even see properly to get ready and had to resort to using the lights on our phones. I find this highly unacceptable and believe the I am warranted some form of compensation.. Adam
Comfortable hotel, good staff good food. Would stay again.
The hotel was great, staff polite and location superb
Staff very polite and helpful
Room very tired looking
Good Location Friendly, helpful staff Excellent breakfast buffet Large room with comfy bed and good size bathroom.
One of the windows in the room didn't close properly so allowed the street noise to be heard! Bed Linen was too small for the bed so did not fit right and the duvet was a heavy winter one which was too warm!
