The location was near enough to where I needed to be
The room was very very cold- i was fully dressed in bed and still cold. Extremely thin walls so very noisy. The only way to view the television was by sitting in the cold chair next to the cold window- the angle meant that you could not watch it from bed. Not on my list to revisit.
Clean room, helpful staff
Late check in time
Breakfast waitress very friendly/helpful.
The furniture old & "tired". Shower unusable, bathroom furniture poor. Settee and bed just about passable. Very noisy during night - doors banging/guests talking/shouting. Smokers at the open front door with entry/exit through a smoke haze - should not be permitted near the entry door. Will not use again.
Friendly service Price Booking easy Being able to lock room with a proper key Hot water
Slight odour in communal areas (smoke/damp?) Having to wait in rain to be let in on arrival (had to ring bell and also ring telephone) Towel really tiny Having to ask for toilet roll. No full length mirror in room
Upon arrival to the hotel I rang the door bell and there was no response so I rang the bell again and still no answer then I noticed a mobile number to ring to let them know I've arrived kind of defeats the object of having one. A gentlemen approached me to show me my room on the way to my room he said to me I don't work here I'm just helping out I've lived here for a few years now which I didn't think was very professional. On arrival to the room he handed me a towel only till later on that evening I discovered blood stains on it. I'm going to cut along story short as I got in to bed I discover my bed in room 9 was riddled with bed bugs and bug excrement all over the sheets and they were crawling up the curtains. So I ended up sleeping on the floor it was late in the evening and there was no staff on site to assist me. I also found a pornagraphic magazine hidden in between the radiator. So avoid avoid avoid this place even Gordon Ramsey couldn't sort this place out
The bed in my room was new and comfortable. Room was warm and WiFi wasn't bad.
On arrival I was shown to me room and my colleague was to his. There was a funny smell on entering my room, although it was warm and satisfactory. However my colleague was not so lucky. We had just finished a week in Nuneaton and had a few days work near Liverpool. I chose Parkview because of the location and price. We arrived put our bags in and went to the Chinese takeaway a short walk away and it was a pretty fair meal. So to cut a long story short, we went to our rooms and settled for the night. I was very soon asleep. Me colleague wasn't so lucky, he wasn't alone in his bed, it was riddled with bedbugs, not 1 or 2 but 20+. He was bitten and actually had to sleep on the floor. The management was good enough to waive his charge for the night, however we both had to find alternative accommodation. There has been no contact from management to apologise or even investigate. We have pictures and videos and will be seeking legal advice. In my opinion, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
The fact you had your own key to access the building anytime whenever you left
The fact there was no staff around and on arrival we had to call a number for the owner to come and let us in, good job we had a phone! And the breakfast was terrible!
THEY DIDN´T SAY YOU, WHAT TIME YOU HAVE TO ARRIVE THERE, AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THEY DON´T MATTER ABOUT YOU. TERRIBLE
everything. it was like a hostel very poorly run. was stood at front door for 30 mins. not a hotel more like a doss house. ended up ill next day
The accommodation was very basic with little or no staff to report issues too the only good thing was the price.
Arrived late rang bell with no answer. Had to call on mobile and was told that someone would be there in 5 minutes. None of the bathrooms had any toilet paper and no one was available to report this issue to. Went down for Breakfast and check out as I needed to leave and it was all locked up, again I had to phone them and was told that some one would be there in 15 minutes 30 minutes later they turned up. It sould also be noted that although they accept credit / debit cards there is a charge to use one.
STAFF WERE FRIENDLY EXCELLENT BREAKFAST
MEALS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE DURING THE EVENING
Breakfast was perfect.
All 4 of us were bitten. I was up the to nights we stayed scratching. The room was dirty and of poor standard.
If you need a short stay and If only need a place to stay for a couple of nights and you are a lone traveller , it's value, did not try breakfast as it started at 7-00am to late for early start on road , But value for money to just get a nights sleep.
Parking. Breakfast was OK- Other than the strict time of 7-8am during the week. (times & information state different everywhere, internet, leaflet and staff all tell you different things)
-Thick pile of dust build up on the radiator pipes down the side of the bed. -Constant breeze coming through the window which I wasn't able to close due to the window being so mouldy & rotten. -Couldn't connect to wi-fi from my room. -£1 charge for paying on my card, which rudely on arrival asked how I was paying 10seconds after walking through the door, payment had gone off my card by the next morning when I checked my bank, not entered my PIN or even consented for it to go off my card properly there and then, payment had probably been taken straight away which I wasn't very pleased with in case there were any issues throughout the stay preventing me from making payment. -Information is different everywhere you go, leaflets in the building, internet, posters in the rooms, staff knowledge etc. They all say different things. Evening meals are no longer served which was partly why I stayed to save having to leave looking for somewhere for an evening meal. False advertisement maybe? I'll let you be the judge of that. -No hot water, mould growing through the walls in the bathroom. -Staff weren't all that welcoming or accommodating. -Was told the shower was leaking but there was nothing they could do and if I closed the door you couldn't hear it?!! Not really the point is it?! - Late check in time of 5pm, which I also believe isn't advertised upon booking. Although the rooms are cheap here and people argue 'you get what you pay for' - a small bit of effort wouldn't be bad. Hoovering down the side of a bed doesn't take much effort or updating information to save confusion to paying guests. Got the vibe that no-one could really be bothered here and the place seriously needed updating. Feel these small changes might actually help this establishment in some way or another. Hard to find many positives really which is a shame but felt really let down by the place and glad my stay was only for one night.
This place was nice with excelent customer client..
I though was near to center Liverpool, but is far.
Really friendly lady could not do enough to help us. great room for the price and excellent breakfast. A++++++
Very tiny, dirty room. No wifi in the bedroom, just in dining room.
The location of the hotel was good, you got what you paid for and it could use a little upgrading.
worst shower i ve ever had room was freezing
the only Plus thing for this place is the WiFi.
Breakfast is poor and when it rained the room start leaking directly to my bed when I went to tell the stuff they joked about it saying they will give me umbrella, and nothing was done, fortunately for me it rained only one day, shower wasn't working once again informed stuff and I was told to go to another floor to take shower. I wouldn't want to stay there anymore and would not recommend it to anyone.
Location, very near bus route, shops and park. Wifi.
Firstly the room was weirdly decorated and furnished like something out of 'tales of the unexpected', the toilet seat was wobbly and there was no shower mat to step out onto, and very slippy tiles. The tv was so arcaic that the remote didnt work properly, some of the drawers were dirty with spilt liquid, there was no hairdryer, and the tea mugs were chipped. I reported problems in bathroom etc, To the 'manager' Karen and received a shower mat and, later, a patronising query as to whether I'd sussed the tv yet. Was told I couldn't have a hairdryer as previous guests had stolen it; ( next day at 'breakfast', manager complaining that she couldn't get warm as she'd left the house with wet hair, and how bad that is for you. (pixx take), toilet seat left unfixed. During my stay I discovered that my room could be accessed by whoever was staying in the room next door - a lock on their side - not a key!? I told the manager and she told the people in there not to open it, rather than address the fact that my room was not secure. There was no heating on, and it was quite cold some nights, then the plumbing went wrong, water was coming up in the shower outlet when flushing, and the toilet wasn't flushing away. I reported this to manager, and was told that it would be repaired that day by a man retained to do repairs. When, on my return, I could see that no repairs had been undertaken, was told by another staff member that 'he' hadn't turned up. When I asked why they hadn't called in someone else, she just looked at me sullenly. The manager had charged me an extra £5 per night for having the use of this unsanitary ensuite. The breakfasts were no better: the manager decided that, as I'm veggy, I could have scrambled eggs and tomatoes on toast.
Got what one paid for.
Absence of sit in restaurant within a short walk.
Location, breakfast, free parking, good sized rooms
pillows were shocking only 1 power point
the bed, room, location of room, en suite, food, staff. The park was lovely. Handy location to see our grandchildren a few miles away. Price good. Paying system good.
The toilet seat wasn't fitted properly. No where to sit during the day apart from the room. The (restaurant) dining area was too crowded.Tables too close together. The evening meal is no longer available. Information needs changing. No reception area.
Excellent stay, staff really helpful as nothing was to much, breakfast was great. Fantastic value would recommend this great guest house
wifi was weak in the room i was in as it was to far which is a shame
