Very friendly, excellent location with parking, good value
Very clean and comfy
I booked bed and breakfast. I was shown to my room by the owners children as I think that the owner was away. They obviously forgot to ask if I wanted to breakfast - and there was no booking form in the room. When I went down for breakfast I was made to feel very unwelcome. Repeated comments like 'well I will have to cook it for you' and in front of other guests too. The actual breakfast was nice but I resent being made to feel unwelcome for something which was clearly the fault of the hotels.
Warm welcome, friendly and nicely presented.
Our host was very welcoming and very interesting will Definetly stay again! Thanks for making our stay memorable
Landlady even took us by car to town centre as it was raining hard .Nice touch.great stay 10/10
Right opposite the theatre and close to the promenade. Friendly welcome at the hotel.
Staff excellent, very friendly, good shower, nice big sized room for a single, stayed only one night and overall very good experience !!!
Bit old decor but didn't bother me much.
Room was clean and comfortable. Owner nice and friendly. Great location for the Congress Theatre (on other side of road). Recommended.

would have liked a bath .
Comfortable Hotel, good location near Theatres. Staff very friendly good atmosphere in Hotel.
From the moment you do not have to worry about parking. To an excellent and dedicated welcome to each guest Internet was very good, room had very high standards with good quality reflected in everything.
Perfect for the congress theatre .rooms were lovely , I understand we were upgraded because it was quiet. The stairs are rather steep but there is a lift.proprietor could not do enough for us , very nice lady .have re booked for July
Free parking and location.
Pillows were uncomfortable
Flexibility, warm welcome, and great garden view
The hotel was very clean and the landlady granted our wish for an upper floor room. We had a lovely family room even though it was only the two of us, felt like a home rather than a hotel. It is close to the beach and close enough to the high street, if the weather was good we could have used the lovely back garden as well. Overall we had a great stay in this hotel and would recommend!
Felt a bit cold at night.
Fantastic location and friendly, home-from-home feel. Would definitely recommend!
Great hospitality and very comfortable rooms
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Her recommendations were good.
Breakfast was like a scene from fawlty towers! Given that she has only had the hotel for a month one can maybe understand but the hotel was full and breakfast was very disappointing to say the least - certainly not what was offered in the book. My husbands scrambled egg was done in the same pan as the bacon so all mixed up! I got 1 poached egg and my friend got 2!!! There were not enough chairs for all the guests and we got toast half hour before our food arrived. Her helper was a real Manuel who didn't have a clue! Everything else about stay was fine so we laughed it off! She definitely needs training in the kitchen.
The location of this hotel was excellent and for the price paid through booking.com you cannot complain. The full English breakfast was freshly prepared and was delicious. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful as to where I could have dinner etc. For the price I really could not say anything negative.
Nothing for the price paid. The hotel could do with an update to the decor and a little TLC but then it would cost significantly more. For the money it will be hard to beat!
Jane the host was amazing - she was very accommodating, so friendly and great with my kids, The place was clean and tidy. The room size was good , Breakfast was great , The beds were so comfortable, the location is great for the seaside , just a short walk to it , and then a 10 minute stroll to the edge of town. Why this place doesn't have a higher rating is beyond me.
Owners and Staff
food and staff very good
room was to small
Excellent breakfast location
Limited parking The timer on the stair lights was too short, not giving enough time to get to the next switch
I have stayed at this hotel previous and I was more than happy. Unfortunately my last visit has changed my opinion. When I booked I was quoted £50 a night i.e. £300 for 6 nights, but when I came to pay this was increased to £307.50. According to the owner the extra char was for paying by credit card. There was no mention of this charge when I booked, neither was I charged on previous occasions. The owner pointed to a piece of paper that had been pined to the back of the office door, and also said it was in the room pack. They insisted I had to pay the extra charge. Originally I booked a 7 night stay and after this had been confirmed a week before my stay I was contacted by the owner and I was told that the Hotel had been sold and that I would have to check out a day earlier so they could pass the keys to the new owners. I found out that this was a lie, they just wanted to sell my room to another customer (at a higher rate). I don't like dishonest people, and on that basis I will never stay here again, and could never recommend this place to a friend.
