Exceptional value...10 minute walk from train station, 15 to museums, on quiet side street with great restaurant around the corner. Cute, quaint rooms, nice staff, excellent atmosphere. For the money, esp, a terrific experience!

Windows rattled when cars went up the adjacent cobblestone street, lift did not work.

The location was excellent. We just walked everywhere. It was also value for money considering the location and the room rate. Room was on the smaller side but clean with the usual amenities, like jug kettle, flat screen TV, mini bar, etc. The bathroom was also small but adequate. We did not know the distance to the hotel from Waverly train station when we arrived so we took a taxi which cost 6 pounds. When we left, we just walked to the station in 10 minutes, with a 26-inch luggage.

The room is rather small. The twin beds were pushed together but if you are not a couple and want some distance between the beds, you have to move them and there is only a 6 inch space available. The bathtub does not have a shower curtain only a glass panel which covers one-third of the bath so when you shower, the whole bathroom gets wet. The hotel should seriously consider installing a curtain. There is nothing more annoying than a wet bathroom floor. We had to use the floor towels to mop after every shower.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, quiet, spacious. Wonderful breakfast. Dined in the Bistro on both evenings during our stay and the food was delicious

Noise all through the night from heating or water system nowhere to sit on toilet it was against a wall ridiculous really as the other side of the wall was a cupboard they could make smaller

Although the room was great it was over the main entrance to the hotel and did get noisy in the early hours when people were returning from functions and smoking outside the entrance very noisy and they had no regard for patrons of the hotel. Went on from about midnight until at least 0330hrs in the morning.

Room was large, clean and available with no steps. Location is fantastic very close to Wavereley station. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Not a good view but only required room to sleep so who cares about the view.

I loved the location of the hotel, very near to the start point of the EMF, the reason for my stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and made me feel very welcome. The food was good and premises clean and comfortable. Would stay next year for the EMF but apparently I am too late as it seems to be fully booked for the time that I require.

Central location, accommodating, helpful and friendly staff, prepared to go the "extra mile" for marathon runners in opening the restaurant early for breakfast, bag drop off before check in, good room with additional seating. Fantastic water pressure and loads of hot water even though we were on the fourth floor.

The connection between the beds was not properly aligned so meant the join was not smooth so felt unsafe when sat on. Dust on tiles in bathroom.

The safe in my room was broken and there was no safe in the room of my travelling companion. When I asked if the safe could be repaired, I was told "no". My television was not working when I checked in, although it was fixed after I notified the front desk. There was a problem with the kitchen five out of five mornings we were there for our pre-paid breakfast and we could not get the full range of food offered on menu. There was no offer of any monetary compensation, nor was there much of an acknowledgement of the problem. The restaurant was closed for dinner on four out of the five nights we were there as well, resulting in our having to go out to eat almost every night. Staff was courteous and business-like but not overly helpful or warm. My general impression was that there are fundamental problems with the hotel (broken equipment) that are not being addressed while cosmetic features are attended to.
