I was in Edinburgh for an eye operation and i needed a long peaceful nights rest post op. For a hotel in such a central location i can say that i never heard any noise from the streets or from my fellow hotel guests. |

The room was very modern and of good quality. The staff were helpful friendly. The hotel's location was very close to the Edinburgh Playhouse (The reason we were in Edinburgh) We returned to the hotel late, as we had been at a show, we were not happy to find that the hotel does not offer room service after 9 30. Breakfast was very busy and we had to wait 45 minutes for a table. |

Rooms are clean and well designed. Quiet hotel in a great central location. Excellent value for money. Breakfast is a bit limited when compared to other hotels of the same standard. Not much to choose at the self service from considering it costs £9 for the basic continental. Service is quick and polite. All good really. |

The location of the hotel was great for the city centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. The evening meal we had at the hotel restaurant was not very good at all. |

The hotel was clean and in the centre of town. It was next to the theatre that i was going to. Breakfast was expensive at £12.50 each. We did not partake in it but got breakfast in Edinburgh itself. Found drinks ( minibar ) to be very expensive so did not use it(£1.50 for a mars bar!!) |

Excellent staff in particular - in the restaurant I said I was gluten free and they found bread for me which is quite unusual. Room clean, sheets fresh, food excellent, location brilliant. |

Super friendly staff in the restuarant, Bistro prices and food excellent value especially the early bird offering. Breakfast was very nice and table service which is unusual these days. Extortionate bar prices £4 for a can of beer!!...why don't hotels price their bars sensibly - they would do much more business.Bed was pretty uncomfortable and pillows were like handkerchiefs!! |

I had stayed at the Parliamen House Hotel previously. Being somewhat unfamiliar with Edinburgh, it was comforting to know where I was staying. I also felt safe. My experience has always been positive and I was confident I would have a pleasant experience. I was not disappointed. I find locating the rooms very confusing. I was travelling on a business trip and as such I was carrying heavy luggage. Getting in and out of the rooms is not easy. |

I liked the fact that it was central to everything and beside the bus stop and train station. I did not like the fact that I choose the continental breakfast and was not advised at my time of ordering it that there were not any rolls or pastries or croissants left. This was half an hour before they stopped serving breakfast. When i advised reception of this on checking out they did waive the charge for breakfast on that day. |

Breakfasts were abundant, lots of choice, fresh croissants or chocolate-filled pastry, eggs, bacon, yogourt, fruits, porridge, good coffee or tea, etc. Very friendly staff. Their restaurant serves good international and scottish food for dinner. Nice old-fashioned lobby with daily paper to read, and a small bar that serves about 30 different single-malt whiskys for tasting. Rooms a bit cramped but had everything one likes including TV, bath and shower, fridge, desk. Location great--5 minutes from train station and Prince's/George streets, major shopping streets, and across a bridge from the Royal mile, Edinburgh castle, lots of wool shops and whisky shops, Holyrood palace the Queen's residence, etc. etc. Mattresses a bit too soft, could be larger rooms but we didn't spend too much time in room. TV only had a few channels but not really a problem for me. |

Very pleasant, clean, comfortable and nicely appointed room, with a subdued but welcoming decor. Great location just off main road at foot of Calton Hill, near New Town and a pretty stroll across North Bridge to Old Town/Royal Mile. Easy access to Waverly Rail Station, as well. Good value in the heart of what can be an expensive city. The only negative was the construction project across the (very narrow) street, which was under way by 7:30 on a Saturday morning. But that looks to be finished soon ... |

Quietly efficient, all facilities in place as promised. Housekeeping and room service responded well. Good value for money @ GBP 75/- night for two pax with full Scottish breakfast. Quite a "cute" hotel. Though at a good location off Princes Street close to Waverley station, actually a difficult walk with luggage, because the last furlong is an uphill climb. Polite and capable staff, but impersonal. No smoking arrangements whasoever. |
