Not to far from Town and it serves its purpose for a place for a couple of hours sleep
The staff were wonderful, the atmosphere was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again.
Nice staff, very close to city centre, clean and tidy
Hard to find because there is no street names around and on the building there is no sign with name of the hotel.
Too hot at night The window didn't open The room was dirty The shared bathroom was dirty There was no lock on the bathroom door Needs painting
It was a bed for the night and I could be distracted from the experience by watching Telly. Daytime reception tried to be so helpful.
Well, if you kept a dog in here for longer than 30 mins, the RSPCA would prosecute. I get the pod concept and have stayed in plenty ( no windows, v. Compact room etc etc), but oxygen IS required. No air conditioning made this awful experience in heat of summer likely to induce claustrophobia. Lighting switched on in room every time I returned (despite having turned it off each morning) increased the heat further. Spent a few mins removing suspect stains from wall. Owners of the property have paid no attention to very simple problems previously fedback (won't repeat them here) on booking.com (e.g. nearly popped out to buy and fit bathroom lock myself, would only take 10mins). Can only conclude owners are so confidently lost in the creative concept they are arrogant enough to ignore customer feedback and not think through the practicalities. Much better value offer within same area on booking.com, where guest feedback is valued.
Almost everything. I stayed here three years ago and gave a full review then.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. The room was cozy and had everything I needed (including a much needed fan :-) ) I received a fresh towel every day and my bedding was even changed! Awesome :-) The location was a 10 min walk from everything I wanted to see. Well impressed, I would def stay there again.
Could have used somewhere to hang my clothes and towel in the shower room.
Very central location and relatively low price - the only reasons I chose to stay here, but taxis are so cheap you'd be better off staying somewhere less central and getting taxis around, at least if you want a decent night's sleep.
The room was stiflingly hot (no windows/ventilation), but a desk fan was provided to remedy this. However, in order to create an even slightly bearable temperature, I had to keep the desk fan on full power all night = very noisy. It was also impossible to turn off the mood lighting. You can have pink, green, blue, red... but you can't switch it off. Between the light and the noise from the desk fan, I was not in for much sleep. There were no working locks on the doors to the showers. The only WC is accessed through a room containing two urinals. Everything's clean, but it's rather an odd situation, and there's no working lock on the door between the urinals and the WC.
Location Price - good if you're on a limited budget Staff were helpful
Room was airless and far too warm to be comfortable
Staff were attentive and extremely helpful. Everything was ready on arrival. Location was ideal, based in the City Centre and made things easy to plan. It did what I wanted it to be.
I can't complain about anything.
From the onset of the stay, the hotel was unclean and dirty. My colleague ended up paying for the stay and booking into an alternative hotel.
Staff and location
Trying to sleep with a noisy fan all night long in a very small room without window where it doubt there was any air conditioning ...
Such friendly staff a lady helped me
Amazing location and relatively good value for money.
Shared toilet was in quite bad condition. Little bits and pieces in the hotel also really need refurbishing.
The location for the city and nightlife was great.
Air con was not working so the room was hot, the rooms was not sound proof as stated my friend could hear music and noise from the clud next dooe which kept her awake. Toilet and showers could do with a revamp.
The price and location and staff are all fab!
Sometimes gets a bit too hot
Excellent value for money in a good city centre location.
Good location, friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
Shared toilet had no lock and toilet area wasn't very clean. Quite noisy outside my room in the middle of the night (loud voices etc).
Room was too hot. It was noisy but that's expected in that location. Overall I got what I paid for
Liked all off it except for the hotness
No air con made what could have been a great stay a very uncomfortable stay!
Clean cosy and convenient
WiFi didn't work, and was a bit warm in the pod
If you're looking for a cheap place to stay that's funkier than your average budget chain hotel, this is pretty unbeatable. Location is good (10-15 minute walk from Lime Street), nice decor, boutique feel. It would be unreasonable to expect luxury, considering the price.
If the weather is moderately warm outside then the rooms will be punishingly hot. Only one, quite rickety toilet shared between the six rooms (and, it seemed, the recording studios upstairs). It was noisy (from the club next door, the pretty ineffective air conditioning unit and people crashing around the place all night). Carpets hadn't seen a Hoover in a long time. If you're a clubber who only wants to crash out for a few hours, it's fine. I, however, am no clubber and struggled to get much sleep.
Value for money Funky
Really noisy Not soundproof
Price and location. Receptionist was very pleasant. Cleanliness of room and room facilities.
Uncomfortable mattress. Not a place to stay if you're not clubbing as you will hear through the walls til 4am. I was in at 3.30am so not really a problem on this occasion. Unisex toilets not for me. 2 urinals and a cubicle in the same room for both sexes.
very handy for an independent traveller. I happened to be in liverpool meeting friends for one night so needed somewhere central and cheap to lay my head. Worked out perfectly. comfy room, good wif-fi and not too busy. Staff were very helpful and let me check in early.
room got quite hot. there is a bedside fan which does the job to a certain extent but they probably should think about installing proper AC in the future
