Enjoyed the stay, have stayed in many hotels and this was a pleasurable weekend
Bar prices quite high.............but I suppose that's par for the course nowadays
the helpful staff when we had a couple of issues - very quickly and satisfactorily resolved. food excellent.
having to leave to go home - not having an 'other' option to the first question - my adult daughter and I don't fit into any of the above options.
Comfortable room, lovely views Pleasant helpful staff
The breakfast was very disappointing, and poor value for money.
Quiet, comfy and easily accessible with plenty of parking.
rooms adequate and clean
Large floor to ceiling windows in room. Cleanliness and quietness of room. Excellent breakfast considering I am a vegetarian and follow a wheat free diet. Views of river. Nearby pub with good food menu
Remoteness of location and no public transport to get anywhere (I do not have a car).
beds lumpy and not very comfortable
Lovely location. Pleasant room with lovely view. Easy parking. Nice friendly staff
Loud intermittent noise from electrical equipment ( pump?) situated above room ceiling. Hotel did arrange to switch off on following night
Good base to explore area Comfy warm room with balcony Pub nearby Free drink for our anniversary Nice terrace outside with river views Good snacks available
Would have been better value for money if some sort of breakfast had been included Service was a bit shambolic at times
Lovely location, comfy bed, clean room, warm welcome from reception staff.
Service in restaurant in evening was poor, with one person trying to manage restaurant and run bar - it didn't work. Breakfast service was dire - 20 minutes for a cup of tea and toast. Gave up and left without in the end
Clean and tidy bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of car park space.
Charge of £10 for breakfast. Many places around a lot less.
location and setting
Room/bathroom could do with upgrade
The view from the bedroom was wonderful. The tidal estuary was spectacular day and night.
The breakfast coffee. Not sure it could even be classed as coffee. No aroma and no taste. Staff did try to change it but the who ever buys the coffee for the Passage Hotel needs to try and drink it first!
Cups and facilities were a nice change from the usual small cups when staying away. Bed was very comfortable and was a very nice design.
Shower head and controls. No AC or fan in room.
Bed it was dreadful and should have been thrown out months ago. Springs in mattress were broken
Location was handy for our visit, the room was ok, but needed dusting.
Breakfast Manager was abrupt, rude and stressed. The breakfast was tasteless and we were told not to sit in the light conservatory because we'd get rained on! Then other staff let customers sit where they liked. No toiletries in the bathroom other than a shower gel dispenser. No air con - the room was hot and stuffy. Staff weren't brilliant at making us feel welcome. Poor value for money, will never stay at a Best Western again.
Great bed. TV was good. Service excellent. Room was quiet and the right temperature. Everything was lovely
Couldn't switch shower off and had to call someone to help! Breakfast restaurant was understaffed putting the staff under great pressure but they coped very well with good humour. Breakfast buffet would have been nice.
For the price I feel breakfast should have been include in the room
Location & food choices.
No mirror with really good lighting in bathroom or bedroom. Noise from busy road.
Nice large rooms in the north lodge, friendly staff. Good base for traveling around Devon. Nice breakfast served to you, which is a nice touch.
There seem to be large coach parties staying which is fine, but the drivers starting up the engines anytime from 7:00 onwards, maybe park the coaches at the back at the hotel? Also quite strange only a few channels on tv, no main channels.
Country side location
A bit spread out
Clean and comfortable It suited the purpose of our short stay
The bedroom was well equipped but a picture on the wall would have been nice.
Nice Friendly Staff, although they had two Coaches in,they managed to book us in for Meals, and service was good, the Young Lady on Reception was extremely helpful,,
Thought we were in the Main Building, had to walk to our Lodge in the pouring rain after Meals,no lift to next floor,so had to carry cases up the stairs, along a long corridor, and no Air Con,in a hot and stuffy Room.
