Very comfortable. Dining table barely large enough for one diner, very cramped for two. Sunday breakfast was a disaster. |

Although the staff struggled with the language they were lovely and very helpful. I was impressed that the chef remembered my gluten free food,..the location was excellient. The hotel was tired, its needs decorating and making a little more modern. The bedding was old fashioned and the furniture in the room was very out of date and cheap looking. The music in the dining room came up into our room and we did not get much sleep, it was very upsetting. |

Experienced a wonderful 3 day break here. The hotel has really friendly feel due in part to its country house type of layout but mainly due the helpful & incredibly friendly staff who were always willing to help.Huge Superior room with seperate dressing area. The setting for the hotel, facilities and grounds were a real delight. The pool and the gym are not over large but are of a good standard (if you want the full spa works then go to a speciality hotel and pay the extra £100 a night) The only minor gripe was that one cooked breakfast was served cold but that was compensated for by it being replaced immediately(not reheated) and chef came out to apologise in person - never experienced that before!. |

The surroundings and grounds are lovely. The hotel is very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The breakfast room was too quiet.People seemed almost scared to raise their voices.Maybe a bit more music or radio 2 would liven it up. No breakfast menus on the table. The bar in the evening was very quiet and although cosy lacked atmosphere. The room decor was in good condition but in need of a makeover to freshen things up. We liked the hotel but felt it can be even better with a bit more investment. |

Beautiful setting, relaxing Had to have a car to get anywhere, as the country lanes too dangerous to walk. So have to drive or get taxi to nearest town. No sky tv in room and no remote control |

The location at edge of New Forest, attentive staff, the extensive grounds, quality of food, comfort and ambience of bar and lounge areas. Excellent value for money. A series of short staircases to get to our room some distance from reception without a lift. |

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They brought my husband a cake to the table as a surpise for his birthday as I had arranged with them! The gardens were gorgeous and loved the pool and food. |

Having returned after 41 years the hotel has been extended and modernised without losing the charm of a English Country Hotel. The Cuisine and facilities were first class and demand more than a 3* rating. The staff were very professional and cheerful about their business. |

Very comfortable, lovely grounds, both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff made us very welcome. Improve entrance. One entrance made entry into car park difficult. |

Whilst restaurant was satisfactory, menu was limited and you would probably start having the same dishes after 3 or 4 days. |

We adored the surroundings, the gardens are fantastic, the food was very good and the presentation beautiful - a flower on every napkin for breakfast was just one personal touch. |
