This modern property, set in beautiful countryside, is near to the town centres of Rotherham and Doncaster, with junction 37 of the A1M only 3.5 miles away.

Independently owned and run, this is the perfect location for business or a long relaxing break away, where you will find real quality and value-for-money. The hotel is beautifully designed and co-ordinated, being furnished in a simple but luxuriously comfortable style. Guests can relax and enjoy supreme comfort and dedicated professional service.

Complimentary leisure facilities are available at the nearby Dearne Valley Leisure Centre, this includes full use of the swimming pool, gym facilities and sauna.

- The Stuart Suite, situated in Pastures Lodge, is suitable for seating up to 250, the ideal venue for civil weddings, conferences and special events.
- The Castle Suite, situated in the Best Western Pastures Hotel, can accommodate up to 60 delegates and is fully equipped with all the latest in conference technology and can be used for civil weddings.
- There are 2 smaller syndicate rooms also available in the hotel.

Food & beverage

Wine and dine in Pastures Lodge, situated opposite Pastures Hotel. The on-site public house and family dining restaurant, it is famous in the area for its delicious home cooked food and daily carvery.

Offering a special atmosphere where drinks and tasty home-cooked food are served from 11:45 through to 21:30 Sunday to Friday and 21:00 Saturday. Pastures Lodge has a wide choice of wines and spirits, having a regularly updated specials board. Whatever the requirements, you will find real quality and value for money.

Ali Bongo’s children’s play area is one of the largest in the country, open 7 days a week. It is very popular for children’s birthday parties and can be hired for exclusive use. There is also an outdoor play area for children and a large decked seating area for everyone to enjoy.

Or, for a unique dining experience, try Reeds fine dining in the Pastures Hotel open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings – soon to be the most talked about dining venue in the area.

Room information

All 60 rooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard, with luxury and comfort expressed in every detail. Rooms are non-smoking, have en suite facilities, and feature the modern facilities today’s guest would expect.

Rooms have either a king-size bed or 2 single beds. The suites include either a four-poster bed with jacuzzi and shower, or an executive king-size bed with walk-in shower.

The South Yorkshire area has an abundance of rich heritage, gardens and open spaces, bustling nightlife and cultural events, sports and outdoor activities along with traditional rural villages and market towns. With excellent rail links, South Yorkshire is less than 90 minutes from London and is served by 5 airports (within an hour’s journey time).

Free wireless internet access, peaceful setting, nice size room for 1 person.

The bed was very uncomfortable, very soft. The window was too small to appreciate the lovely country view and plastic stirrers (for tea) and plastic cups, wrapped in more plastic, were supplied for water.

It was very clean, comfortable and convenient. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful, polite and professional.

Had to 'prick' the shower head to get the maximum flow. Regular de-scale of showerheads recommended as everything else was perfect.

stayed in a suite which had a few more mod cons and was good value - generally the staff were excellent, they could'nt do enough to help, and the breakfast was also very good, again the very attentive staff made this a very pleasurable stay.

Even though situated next to a pub, when staying at hotels, I like to use the hotel bar, which was not open - I also like to use a pool which the hotel did not have.

A significant improvement on our last visit as the hotel has been extended. A good place to stay overlooking the canal at the rear. Plenty of free parking. The decor is very stylish and the room very comfortable

Breakfast was very chaotic. There was a large wedding party staying and the breakfast facilities could not cope. This needs to be better planned but the food was fine.
