The friendliness of the staff and their commitment to you to ensure you have a nice stay
The entrance & dining area are well presented and nicely decorated. The bedrooms, although clean and comfortable, could do with a little updating. The side panel of the bath was coming away from the sealant and there was a draught from the window, thank goodness for the heavy curtain
Television a bit small
Comfy bed, nice shower, friendly staff, definitely will be using again
Not really sure how to use free wifi
Receptionist was welcoming. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was very clean and well maintained. There was a good choice to choose from at breakfast. Again, the staff were friendly and efficient.
I didn't like the soap dispensers in the bathroom. I found them difficult to squeeze.
Good choice of restaurant/ pub experiences, really friendly & helpful staff; outstanding value
Nothing not to like really
Rooms are generally good with a comfortable bed. Bathrooms seem to be clean, with no noticeable drain smells. Quite well appointed with plenty of room, desk & good WiFi coverage.
Don't have a room above the kitchen. Extractor fan noise ends at 11.00 (if you request) & starts again at 6.00hrs. TV channels are limited, so no Freeview range.
Breakfast was as good as always... Staff very capable..
No food at night time, staff shortage.? so we had to walk over to the pub for food, only about 200 yards but as the snow had not been cleared and had turned to ice, people were on a Very slippery surface... This also affected parking spots as people had to walk a across with there luggage..
Very welcoming staff, lovely room, excellent breakfast.
Nothing to dislike
The only problem was a party so noise as we were on the ground floor it was quite loud and we could really have done with an early start/night but it did end at midnight so not too bad
Clean everywhere, kingsize bed, spacious room, working Wi-Fi, all facilities required were in the room.
Dry atmosphere in room, but this is usual in hotels I find, always thirsty in the nights!
Clean cosy hotel. Fantastic food in The Lodge. Friendly helpful staff.
Thin bedroom walls. Heard all of an argument in neighbour's room/hallway.
Food was excellent
Room a bit dated and wardrobe hanging rail was very high
Had a lovely stay here, my first visit and definitely won't be my last. Very nice staff warm and welcoming. In a beautiful little location. The room was very clean, bed was extremely comfy great pillows and bedding. Had a great nights sleep. I will book this hotel again very impressed. Very quiet too
Only thing was I really wanted a bath, but it isn't really a dislike
Wifi very poor and has not improved in over 5 years despite many mentions. Facilities almost non-existent outside limited hours. Food below average, service of main course very slow (twice).
Location near my daughter's home. Downstairs bedroom as I'm elderly and disabled
Breakfast wasn't great was only just warm. Service was good though, helpful
had a great time food good staff great good all round
would like a easy chair in room to relax in but i am nit picking a bit
Breakfast was excellent Rooms very clean facilities- wi fi
Have stayed before but in one of the suites which was A1
There was a humming in the room which drove me mad and couldn't figure out where it was coming from so didn't get a lot of sleep. Next morning my hubby found the source and it was above the wardrobe coming from a machine.
the hotel staff were excellent, they were very efficient and nothing was to much trouble for them the rooms were comfortable warm and pleasant the breakfast was first class as were the waitress staff the hotel overall was very good. the pub attached to the the hotel served excellent food and a good array of drinks the staff there were very pleasant and efficient all in all a very pleasant stay.
the bathrooms although very clean and kept well stocked could do with updating.
MOST THINGS GOOD.VERY GOOD BREAKFAST.
BAR DRINKS I.E. BEER OUT OF CANS POOR
Modern - great food and pleasant staff
Asked for an upper floor room and got a ground floor - I like to sleep withj the window open and hence had a restless stuffy nights sleep
the free gym nearby
Good location, quiet surroundings and choice of meals either from restaurant or bar.
Unable to connect to wifi.
i could not fault anything all aspects of our visit were fantastic will use the facility again without question
2nd time staying there, looks like we will stop there from now on when in the area.
Pub across the car park was noisy as a party was on... But not too loud so could sleep.
