Breakfasts were superb. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and warm and fairly quiet to be over a weekend with a small wedding function on. Used pool and a very nice setting outside but a bit of snow around whilst we were there.

The location and stunning surroundings were fantastic - staff very helpful - I paid 44 quid a night for a good room and the breakfast was value for money. In fact very good breakfast and in fact a VFM trip. As I was on business the poor Wifi only available in the lounge where one had to compete with the TV was a disappointment - No wifi available in my room - I was also unable to get a signal on both O2 and Vodafone anywhere inside the hotel - which in the 21st Century is pretty poor and restricted my ability to function effectively. I could get a signal if I went into the middle of the car park good job it was not raining.

The reception and breakfast staff were excellent. (The remainder were just average) The room was dated, shower was poor, it was a warm day but the room was stifling. Opening the window not an option due to the fans on the roof outside. No view. Asked what 'specials' were available as noted on the menu and was met with a quizzical look and then the comment "Oh, its probably soup - but its all gone"

This was an overnight stop visiting family before a lenghty drive. Very pleasant. The only criticism is that the beds are a little too firm.

We have stayed there the last few years and have found the staff to be courteous friendly, and very welcoming. The views over the lake from the dining room are second to none. The golf course is well kept and maintained.

Ausgeleierte Armaturen, Dusche mangelhaft.

Front desk staff were excellent. Location is excellent. The decor is somewhat dated. You need to plan a complete refurbishment. It gives the impression of being more for golf enthusiasts rather than tourists or business people. It could be marketed as one of the best hotels in the area. There are very few, if any, truly 5* hotels in the area. There is a definite niche Market for a top class hotel. But you would have to tone down the Golfing emphasis. Then again I suppose it depends what customers you want to attract. Well sloshed golfing revellers in the bars and coffee shop does not give a good impression. We are used to staying in 5* hotels in Dubai etc so we may be over critical.

We stayed in this hotel as we were going to a wedding nearby and many of our friends were staying there too. So location was good for us. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. We were not impressed with our room, it was quite small and not cleaned to a high standard. The room was over priced and was not to the standard of a premier inn/travelodge, which would have been more reasonably priced. We had a meal in the restaurant and felt it was over priced, £20 for a steak and it was not worth that. Overall we were disappointed with our stay and certainly felt it was over priced.
