Reception staff were incredibly friendly & very helpful. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Restaurant was excellent, limited menu choice but variety of food choices each day and all three courses were served quickly. The restaurant staff were very attentive and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend the Patterdale Hotel and we will certainly be returning here.

Enjoyed it immensely been to Patterdale hotel many times . Always had a shower before on previous visits. Unfortunately there wasn't one this time in our room . Very disappointed . My husband & i only ever have showers . So a bit of a let down .

Excellent value for money, many lakeland walks you can do straight from the hotel (no car needed), amazing views, friendly and polite Staff, great food :0) Nothing.

The hotel was situated in a village where you were able to commence many walks without having to drive anywhere. The food wasn't very good. The breakfast was average and lacked fresh fruit, yogurts or pastries. The evening meal was overcooked and lacked flavour.

Visited several times, great location, warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent staff, terrific value for money. Room 223, no shower cubicle around bath, very awkward to use shower!

friendly staff .Excellent food.Worth the extra £8 for the cumbrian fillet steak ! Really nice dining /breakfast room.Bar prices reasonable, great breakfast, basic room with view of kitchen cooking duct/chimney and the noise and smell from it.

We woke up on Friday morning 22.3.13 to snow covered everywhere, your staff (inc Charlene) were extremely helpful in sorting accomodation for us and for that we could not thank them enough. We stay pretty regularly and cannot never fault any of the staff.

Convenient location for steamer and walks. Breakfasts good variety. Dining room service efficient. Bathroom good size and well equipped. Room 217 had constant loud clicking of water pipes from coving behind entrance door preventing good nights sleep.This annoying fault must have been apparent for some time to any staff visiting room and should have been rectified long ago.

Friendly, efficient staff. Good, homely food with a different menu each evening. Selection of starters, mains and desserts all of which were eminently edible ! Half-board package was very good value for money. Warm, comfortable room. Some areas looked a bit tired & in need of redecoration, but as the hotel is full all year, heaven knows when & how they will manage to get round to it !

The bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and room was clean and warm. The food was excellant and staff very friendly and was exceptional value for money. Will certainly visit again. guest that returned late at night and woke us up.
