In the center of the small, charming town of Rye, the Ship is a modern take on the traditional English inn - a cozy pub, rich in original character, with simple, comfortable rooms above.

Score from 90 reviews Wonderful
Loved this place , owners were very good , upgraded our room fantastic room and garden was brill , lovely cooked breakfast couldnt have asked for more.
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Even served with mulled wine and brownies in room on arrival!
Annoyingly the Wi-Fi didn't work in the superior bedroom but it was fine in the main building. An irritation rather than a big issue.
Lovely place,and lovely owners!
Made to feel welcome instantly and throughout our stay.
Nothing negative to report.
In front of the road, noisy
nice people, breakfast was excellent
had to leave room to get to dining room
The room was lovely, the breakfast plentiful and excellent but above all what makes this place is the warm welcome you receive on arrival and throughout your stay.
The shower was the only let down
Warm greeting, rooms very high standard. Excellent breakfast menu and cooked beautifully.
Greeted with chocolate brownies and tea always goes down well. Genuinely friendly without invading our space. Breakfast was delicious and room 3 was a tiny bit of bliss. Tastefully decorated, a large comfy bed, a bath to soak away in until the water runs cold. Clean and warm. would most certainly return again.
Very positive ; an excellent welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Food was brilliant and the décor also. Would definitely recommend. Owners and staff very helpful
Friendly and helpful owners had thought of everything one might need. Pleasant, smart accommodation, excellent choice of breakfasts. Nice patio garden with hot tub.
Lovely room, very good facilities, warm welcome from Colleen and Bob and most fantastic tasty breakfasts. Well situated for exploring the local area and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Slight problems with Wi-Fi access
Peace and Plenty was a great place to stay, from very welcoming owners, comfortable and stylish accomodation, and very nice and welcomed breakfast. All in all highly recommend ed
The customer care is second to none. Coleen and Bob make every effort to make the visitor feel at home. The best B&B breakfast I've ever had! Quiet of the countryside but just 5 minutes drive from Rye and within easy reach of Canterbury and the Eurotunnel and cross-channel ferry services.
This is an excellent B&B. The food was of the highest standard, the room was extremely comfortable, the location is within walking distance to Rye, and Colleen and Bob are excellent hosts - personable and helpful. In fact, Bob will share the story of his 1935 Riley if you are interested. We stayed two nights and will definitely go back.
We were made very welcome by Colleen and Bob and were given a complimentary glass of wine each. Our room was delightful with a good shower, and ample toiletries. Good choice of beverages, and a fridge! Breakfasts were excellent, using top quality products. Also there is a relaxing patio area to sit out in. Many thanks to Colleen & Bob.
All the thoughtful extras by the owners including tea and cakes by the pond in the lovely garden on arrival and a Bucks Fizz with my breakfast on my birthday.
Location, rural and peaceful but still only a short drive to town, lovely room, delicious breakfast, enjoyed the garden very much, very helpful advice from owners for our stay.
Coleen greated and welcomed us with a cup of tea, coffee and cake in her garden- lovely. She and Bob are very, very friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable and attention to detail was great. Breakfast superb, Bob is a chef and the options and cooking of breakfast reflect this. Best breakfast we have had in 6 weeks of staying in hotels and b&b's. Thank you so much.
By far the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. Has a lovely garden with hot tub (didnt get to try it out but will next time) and a cosy honesty bar tip; if you plan on getting a taxi out on a Sunday book way in advance as most cab companies don't work.
Very welcoming and an excellent, well presented breakfast. Rooms very comfortable. Good parking.
Excellent standard of accommodation made even better by thoughtful, caring service. Great welcome with drinks and scones and a fantastic farewell breakfast highly recommended.
stayed one night for our 40th wedding anniversary had a bottle of wine on ice put in our room and red petals scattered on the bed - the breakfast was excellent and the couple were so nice. would stay again. couldn't have been better.
The room had everything that was needed.....and more! Lovely big fluffy bath towels and flannels, loads of tea and coffee, a small fridge, ironing board and iron and two hairdryers! It was decorated beautifully and very spacious. We had a four poster bed and the room looked lovely. The bathroom was also roomy with a roll top bath and a separate shower. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They have just had a hot tub installed (they rang me to let us know) which we used in their lovely quiet garden. They also have an honesty bar in the garden area and lots of candles lit in the evening - very romantic! Breakfast was excellent, both the cooked full English and the lovely yoghurt with granola. We were brought a Bucks Fizz as it was our wedding anniversary which was unexpected and a lovely touch. A perfect and romantic place to celebrate and I recommend staying here.
Very nice and clean room. Super Breakfast and very nice and helpful Staff.
