Location. Superb Staff. Excellent Menu of Quality Food. Well cooked to our liking and beautifully presented. Quirky Room, but lovely view virtually touching the animals in field some 8 Metres from French Doors.
Just a little Tatty furniture/Walls and Very Dirty Carpets in doorways.(Maybe a busy Summer Season with many Dogs and Hiking Boots in and out.)
Martin was a fabulous host, he took the time to speak to us and consider our needs and he was always delightful. The food at the hotel was superb. It outclassed everything we have had elsewhere, including at much more expensive hotels. I highly recommend the Peacock.
Peaceful spot overlooking fields. Friendly staff and good food
Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, friendly atmosphere, and great customer service. Great breakfast and what a wonderful setting!
Difficult to find anything not to like!
Friendly staff, excellent food
Wifi was slow and intermittant
Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was superb with a 4 poster bed. Very clean and comfortable.
Only downfall was the people in the rooms both next to and above us made a lot of noise from about 6.30am. A little inconsiderate when we were on holiday.
The food was fresh and wholesome.
The hotel was a bit tired.
Comfortable bed, good shower over bath and the food was excellent, as was the service
Absolutely everything. Location was delightful, food delicious and the staff incredibly helpful.
The owner was exceptional. He could not have done more to make us feel welcome.
The staff were very helpful and cleanliness was very good. The bar was very pleasant and breakfast was good.
Very tired looking needed a lick of paint and carpets weren't great also the tv didn't work. A lot of money for not a lot but that is the british hotel industry so I can't blame them
We asked for a twin room, but there wasn't any available. Martin supplied a second room, but did not charge us. Moreover, he brought us to the nearest Railway station the morning of our departure. Thanks!
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent, and the location is in the heart of the countryside

Lovely views. Staff friendly and helpful.
The choice of foods was very good, and extremely well cooked and presented. Very friendly staff, olde world building, lovely bar abd restaurent.
When we checked in they had no record of our booking. Fortunately for us they had vacant rooms. They did check your website and saw our booking, but it wasn't copied to them. They said this had happened before?????????
Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble . Food was extremely good , and plenty of choice. Would be very happy to stay there again.
Food service slow
Once again, another pleasurable experience. The Peacock never fails to deliver!
The owner or manager was amazing. We got in late for dinner we still got a nice one.
This place is outstanding! I don't usually bother with ratings but I cannot fail to comment here. Someone else called this a gem and that's absolutely right from a homely feel to a secret escape outstanding!!
The wall in the bedroom was marked where there was no head board - that's it really hard to fault this place!!
nice dinner, nice staff very friendly. room was tidy and clean. just been refirbished
parts of the peacock are a bit tired but I think they are addressing it
Staff were very friendly and obliging. Food was great, we had dinner and breakfast - excellent!
No one on desk on arrival but thats not really a criticism.
The hotel was excellent, especially for the price. The food was excellent and the portions were very good. The staff were hardworking and friendly and there was plenty of parking even when the many non-resident dinners were there. The Peacock obviously has a good reputation as we casually mentioned it to someone in Thame and they also highly commended it! Overall, we were pleasantly suprised and would most certainly book to stay there again!
There was nothing not to like about the Peacock Country Inn. Just one suggestion, the garden furniture could do with sanding down, re-staining and varnishing as it would improve the overall outside appearance, and prevent it rotting away eventually.
Room had no view, was in the roof space and only had views of other roofs
