The Peacock, a friendly country inn set at the foot of the beautiful Chilterns in picturesque Henton, near Thame.

This is an ideal location for business and leisure guests, with easy access to Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

The Peacock offers a place to enjoy reasonably priced, freshly cooked food after a hard day's work and to get away, relax and enjoy the countryside. You can also venture to Oxford for some shopping, walk along the Ridgeway or just read the newspapers and enjoy a drink at our period bar.

You will find our friendly staff always ready to assist and The Peacock a quiet and secluded sanctuary in which to unwind and relax.

The restaurant/bar offers a selection of delicious fresh English food, all served to you to by our helpful team in a friendly atmosphere. The superb lunchtime and evening menus are changed seasonally and feature fresh local vegetables and produce.

Area information

Thame, Princes Risborough, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Marlow, Oxford and Henley are all within a 15 to 30 minute drive from The Peacock. London and the West End theatres are only 45 minutes away via the M40 motorway (turn off at junction 6).

Quiet and secluded, this is the perfect location for small business meetings for companies in this area. Local attractions include the beautiful Chiltern Hills, the Ridgeway Path, Henley, The Regatta, Oxford with its colleges and history and West Wycombe village and caves. Golf courses nearby include Whiteleaf, Ellesborough, Weston Turville and Chiltern Forest.

Some of the common areas were a litle bit tired and could have done with a spruce up. There was work ongoing which will probably help with this.	8
