Bed was comfortable
Too themed. Communal areas very poor. Needs a good refurbishment. Had to pay extra for parking
Very hot everywhere in the hotel and had to leave the windows open.Noisy as lots of creaking floorboards so people above us seemed to be constantly moving backwards and forwards. No free parking,it cost 5GBP/day
Rooms and facilities very clean. Staff friendly, good location. Decent in room facilities eg Tea/coffee etc.
Room extremely small and cramped to be billed a double- a decent sized single at best. Shower did not provide hot water.. Finally not very clear, when booking, that the hotel charges £5 per night for parking! Info is buried in the admin print below the room rate data which is in much larger typeface!
Convenient for my purpose. Friendly, cheerful, helpful staff. Car parking availability. Adequate breakfast arrangements. Quiet.
I drove passed it; the restaurant name was more prominent than the hotel name. I booked on-line; the £5 car park charge was a surprise (but I can see the reason). The bed 'rocked' as the base had broken. While this did not spoil sleep, it was a bit disconcerting. I could not turn off the sub-titles on the TV, so I switched it off and went to sleep.
very clean and ideally sited for visiting friends.bedroom on small side, but adequate.
Breakfast was good
having to pay for parking also the room had cobwebs, mould & in need of redecorating & a good clean.
The rooms were average, but clean/ fresh, however the bathroom did need some attention. There was quite alot of grubby, mouldy grouting around the bath/shower that really let it down.
The main building/eating area needed a little updating. It all looked rather tired and rundown. Breakfast was poorly laid out, the only two staff on duty were struggling to keep up. Probably wouldn't stay there again as there are better places for the same money.
We had specifically booked a twin room. When we got there the room was set up as a double and was advised it would take a while to re make as a twin. So was given an extra single room two floors above - not quite what we planned. In the 'twin room' no curtain / blind on the small window which made the room really light in the morning. The £5:00 charge to park your car in the car park should be in bold on the booking form - we had two cars which meant £10:00 for one night!
The room was incredibly well laid out, they had read the booking and organised a choice of beds, both the room and en-suite were beautifully clean which being on chemo was very important to me. The breakfast fantastic and a real treat. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.
Paying for car parking
Convenient location to Stoneleigh Park. On site parking.
Having to pay £5 per night to park. First room was a double and we'd booked a twin. Second room was filthy and sheets not changed. Third room ok but no carpet, hairdryer, or shaver point. Bacon sandwich for breakfast consisted of 3 pieces of bread and one piece of bacon!
Very friendly staff
Poor maintenance £5 charge for parking!
Friendly Staff The waiter doing breakfast was really helpful Close to the main A46
Single room was to small, but OK for one night, but very tired decor The toilet had to be sat on sideways as you could not sit straight on as the wall was to close to the toilet. Only allocate the room to someone 5fr 7in or smaller to avoid this embarassment
Friendly staff good location
Room 205 useless shower and cleanliness in bathroom
paying for parking
Good location & nice breakfast.
My room was not cleaned even though I made a point at reception the night before that two of my work colleges would be taking over the room the next day so would like the beds changed & the room cleaned. Also the single beds are so narrow when you turn it feels like you are going to fall out.
the food and the staff were good
mildew in the bathroom, steepness of the stairs, incomplete light fittings in the room.
We were late coming down for breakfast and the staff could not have been more accommodating in bringing things back out for us and making sure that we had everything we needed. All with a smile. We were also a bit late checking out and we did not feel rushed at all. Much appreciated. Fast internet
Great staff. Very clean. Amazing restaurant.
Chef stops serving breakfast at 9.30 even though the info. in the rooms says up till 10am. Hard pillows.
All staff very good and helpful.
Much of dinner menu not to my liking. Dinner not served on Sunday. Had to go out. Bedroom very small.
You get what you pay for!
Stayed here for 2 nights, first night we ate in the hotel restaurant, food was lovely but a bit pricey, especially the drinks. Breakfast came in room cost and was very nice. Room was quite small but had everything we needed in it. Comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Locatiin was great, close to plenty of shops etc. Pub opposite (The Green Man) is great for a meal and very good for your money. All round enjoyable weekend.
Price if food and drinks. Standard double room was very small.
Breakfast was good. Location was good.
Poor shower didn't work no hot water. Very uncomfortably small room. Restricted highly priced menu for Dinner. Having to pay for parking not advertised of told about on phone unethical
Décor of room was modern.
Cramped feeling of stairways/corridors. Sunday breakfast 7.00 -9.30, "but last orders at 9.15". This is a bit early for a Sunday-should be till at least 10. Scrambled egg tasted like it had been lying around since 7.00. One rasher of bacon- bit stingy. Fruit was poor. Watch out for £5 parking charge.
Pleasent staff and nice surrondings
cold shower in the morning.
