Staff. food clean quiet.
Signpost so tasteful we missed it.
Staff extremely helpful, good comfortable rooms.
not enough lighting in the room. Almost impossible to apply make-up!

Room facilitates were good and having a shower and large bath is good... very comfort beds
Breakfast was not good also limited options if you are a vegetarian - was given two mushrooms and a half tomato with toast. Menu for dinner at the Red Lion was too pricy and didn't see the value.
Well appointed rooms. Excellent bed. Great location. The rooms in this hotel are outstanding quality.
The food and restaurant service let down this stay. Was expecting something special and got very average. To the point that I would not recommend this place to others.
Stunning location Friendly pleasant staff Good food
The best desserts I have ever come across!!
Location, service, fabulous rooms, food. This is a stunning hotel which I've used before
There is nothing not to like!
Very little to find fault with, the standard of the room and bathroom and was superb. Reception staff were extremely friendly yet very professional. The difference with this hotel was the little extras that put customer service at the forefront of everything.
The breakfast was excellent, fantastic choice and beautifully presented but we had dinner one evening in the bistro which was not quite up to the same standards, which was a shame.
Everything, no gripes from us!
The peaceful location and the friendliness of the staff. Our room and bathroom were spotless and the food beautifully presented.
My only criticism is that a wider choice of vegetarian food would be welcome.
We stayed at this hotel whilst attending a funeral. The staff were so accommodating inasmuch as they let us book out later to accommodate the funeral timings. We dined in the Red Lion in the evening and were very impressed by both the food and the service. We will definitely be returning.
The location, view from our room. Hotel was immaculate, had everything that you needed for your stay. The food was outstanding for pub food and am now thinking of another reason to go again. This visit was for our wedding anniversary and would highly recommend.
Nothing to not like about it.
Peaceful location Quality of decor and ambiance Friendliness and efficiency of staff Outdoor space was lovely 10/10 for Brilliant burgers! Evening Meal.
Breakfasts little disappointing, not overly hot or tasty. Nothing else disliked.
Everything especially the bar and restaurant.
Location , quality of the accomadation
The view and surroundings and quiteness, even though there was a wedding going on we heard nothing!
good purpose built hotel in nice surroundings ideal for exploring the beautiful towns and countryside.
poor menu choice
All the personal touches, not your standard hotel.
Spaciousness of rooms and high level of appointments
Food at Red Lion disappointing - cooked breakfast was barely warm and evening meal very ordinary
Bed, room, shower, Karen very helpful
Pub next door, poor food, tiny portions and way over priced I.e. One Yorkshire pudding = £7!
bedroom was very good food was very good
food was a bit expensive could not afford to eat in every night
Lovely location, great views. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Our room was beautiful - spotlessly clean, huge bed, very stylish bathroom. Had evening meal and breakfast in the bistro - fantastic food and wonderful service.
Nothing major but having got dressed up for dinner, had to run outside and across car park from hotel reception to pub/bistro entrance in torrential rain, as there was a wedding that prevented us from using internal route. Perhaps in these instances it would be helpful to have umbrellas available for guests to borrow.
Very, very good -- a great boutique-design hotel that feels brand new; informal and super-friendly service; tranquil grounds; wonderful restaurant and traditional pub. Short drive to the National Park, hikes, caves and Chatsworth.
A few more options on the restaurant menu for picky young kids would be good. They book a lot of weddings -- but the action is well separated from the hotel, and we weren't disturbed.
Location Room & facilities Adjoining pub Friendly staff Good breakfast
Dinner - steak meal over priced & not of the highest quality
