helpful staff clean fresh room bar and restaurant adjacent, excellant views across the marina modern but tasteful decor breakfast buffet style with plentu of everything.
Very nice budget hotel in a lovely setting We will definitely stay here again Thank you
The plastic mattress cover made us very hot and sticky
Excellent double room overlooking marina , terrific super king bed and room was spotless , Was a carvery next door which was good value for money tho service at the bar and ordering the food could have been much quicker
service in carvery next door was rather slow tho food quality was ok
restaurant staff splendid
bar staff need more training not to criticize choice of drink. but they are efficient and nice
The hotel room - comfort and cleanliness
Having to go through to the bar to order food. Breakfast isn't available until 7.00am which is too late for me. The food (breakfast) was overcooked.
Comfortable, elegant with a retro touch. Location is perfect if driving a car. Quaint marina with traditional English barges.
Maybe not part of the hotel but uninspiring food in restaurant besides. Problem with flushing.
One of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in
our room looked out on the marina made me feel happy
Location was very good and very convenient. The room had bee tastefully refurbished and was very clean.
The breakfast in the Peartree Inn (a different company) was the worst breakfast I have had the misfortune of having.
Location Room Quality Value for money
Pillows could do with some variation ie selection of firm/soft etc Menu was quite basic and could do with a bit more variety
Very helpful reception staff and chef.
Restaurant was very 'tired' and needs refurbishing. Food dried up and not appetising.
The hotel was very good, staff very friendly and helpful, comfy clean big room, nice view.
The pub it was attached to was awful. We went down to try the carvery on the first night to be told that there was no food as a steamer had broken. Only starters or sandwiches available. As our only mode of transport was a motorbike we asked if there was anywhere nearby to eat, only to be told no and the nearest was probably a 10 minute drive away. On asking the same question to the hotel staff we were told that there was another pub within a ten minute walk!!!
Very disappointed with breakfast, quality and choice - such a shame after we had been so impressed with the hotel.
Cleanliness of the room, comfortable large beds, flat screen tv and good choice of channels, nice location for a walk along the riverside.
Unable to find anything I didnt like.
It was a lovely room & staff were pleasant :)
Duvet was nice and room clean
Pillows way too big so slept on a rolled up jumper instead. Price for one night stay just because of Moto GP was shocking. Breakfast couldn't be served either because of kitchen problems.
The room was pefect, clean and the bed comfortable.
The reception confused my booking with another and logged my room under anothers name. The restaraunt next door had cheap food, not great and the beer was worse.
Location and setting on the Marina
Modernised room with comfortable bed, nice bathroom with large bath, cleanliness, nice view of canal barges, not too far by car from Milton Keynes central train station and reasonably priced
Surrounding houses and pub next door seemed a bit run down which made me uneasy but there were no issues
Nice place by canal, place to eat next door, no need to go far for something to eat. Overall enjoyed stay .
View out of window, looking at rubbish bins, should have had discount.
Right next to the canal and only 5 minutes away from ikea!! Food was nice and really reasonable. Room was lovely and the bed was so so comfy!
We were not able to go to sleep due to the blue light that are used for the boats blackout blind would have been useful. Also the pillows are so uncomfortable.
Comfy bed very clean, Great view of barges on river from room window, pub and food joined onto hotel. Fabulous breakfast and main meal and pudding.
Night time entertainment was a bit dated. Felt like we had been transported back in time. Was funny. The guests seemed to be all travellers/gypsies. Overall we would stay again.
Good parking area. Being near water. Good walking areas. Good value food but no great choice.
Pub next door with noisy customers. No smokers ashtrays outside. Dirty outside tables. No telephone in rooms or room service. No recreational activity. Poor quality coffee in rooms.
Peaceful location next to a canal
