helpful staff , super clean , mega comfy beds , great food served next door
mmmmm didn't stay long enough , to much free ice cream , brain freeze :)
Good location for getting into milton keynes and bletchley park without being too noisy had lovely view of marina , only had one night but will go back
Couldnt fault it
Staff very helpful. Room Clean, comfortable and Warm.
Breakfast poor quality.
Quiet room, with a lovely view of a marina.
lovely room, comfy bed. plenty of free parking. good food and value for money.
location .view of the marina, also just round the corner from our favourite pub the swan.great shower good room plan, big fluffy towels .first visit but wont be our last- staff were great too ; friendly and nothing too much trouble,
The rooms were clean and well provided. Every thing you would need for a quick stop-over was there. The beds were really comfortable and the lighting was good.
Even though it was not part of the Lodge, the restaurant next door was unappealing.
Location for Milton Keynes, and Bletchley Park. Plenty of lovely walks along the canal. Nice pub with good food at very reasonable prices.(next door)
nothing at all to dislike.
The room was very quiet with a view over the water, very clean and comfortable
The restaurant attached was not an asset -go to the pub
staff were helpful and friendly.
Location by the Grand Union canal and marina. Short drive to Brasserie Blanc for good dinner. Very quiet compared to most other alternatives in this area on a Sat night at this price.
MK is pretty soulless, but that's not the lodge's fault!
Could be a nice place with friendly personnel, but look for the rooms heading towards the canal. Pub menu is meat oriented, not to be recommended for vegetarians...
My room did not belong to these two categories: brillant overview over the garbage bin yard and the parking lot, completed by a motor test run of the nearby garage at 10pm, completed by neon blue lighting entering the room alongside the curtains.
Good quality rooms
Breakfast is available at the Pub next door, which belongs to other company. Restaurant doesn't open until 07.00 am - too late for office hours starting at 08.00.
Very good price and quality level and nice quite location.
Approximately 10 from the public transport.
Staff were friendly and knowledgable, room was clean and comfortable.
The pub next door was full of all sorts of dodgy people and was open late. The hotel is on the edge of an estate.
almost everything the food was terrible. The restaurant was dirty the food was awful both breakfast and dinner.
The room is very spaceous and it was quiet the shower and toilet was very clean , bed was great to sleep in ,
Check out is to early , out before 10:00 not unless you pay more money witch I travel to diffrent hotels all the time and this is not on for a check out time
Accommodation and position and closeness to countryside and walks along the canal.
Breakfast the we paid for not brilliant.
Room and bed was good for 1 or 2 nights. Clean and quiet apart from some noisy guests returning from the attached pub...bathroom was nice and clean and the temperature consistent and comfortable (no controls?) but no aircon except an electric fan so obviously a problem other guests have mentioned. Access to first floor rooms up a narrow staircase a bit surprising. Remember to manually lock your room door as they don't lock on closure!
1 drink (cup of tea or coffee or juice) and either cereal of help yourself buffet for £10+ - another guest as breakfast was equally perplexed given a full roast could be had for £4. Restaurant was a little bit grubby - sticky tables, but not as much as the deserted bar. The help yourself food was under a warmer where the utensils were so HOT you couldn't hold them for longer than a few seconds. Stops you taking too much I guess. Get wooden handled utensils!
Clean room, comfy bed
Pub/restaurant looks very shabby and unclean. Nowhere else to go for food, unless you drive. Doors slamming, and noisy people until early hours
Mostly everything - would definitely visit again
The lack of staff in the bar area - as this led to long delays for drinks and food not being replenished in the restuarant in a timely manner
Location alongside Grand Union Canal - ideal for early morning run.
Mix reception from staff - most fine/friendly, the odd one a bit sniffy esp. when not time to complete review of stay on leaving: 'will only take a minute' suggests not inclined to allow visitors a moment to think about responses. Sour taste at end of satisfactory visit. Food menu a bit basic unless your the Big Breakfast type, and NOT included in price. Could do to learn a lesson from budget hotels in France where breakfast is an absolute delight and cater for the more health-conscious eaters.
It was clean
It was the same standard as a Travelodge, but 50% more expensive.
