easy access from workplace.nothing was a problem for the staff.very clean and comfortable.loved the power shower.
Lodge is clean and quiet, and very central.
Lights over single beds would not individually switch off. No bath, only shower (but to be fair, I had forgotten to ask for a room with a bath; I assumed all rooms would have bath with overbath shower)
A good All round location
The eating section could do with updating food was superb
Even before arriving, I was very impressed with the helpful staff. Checking in was very pleasant, offered lots of suggestions for activities during stay. Room perfectly clean, comfortable bed, good shower and breakfast.
Good price, exactly where and what we wanted for an overnight stay.
Everything was brilliant
Location, staff very polite and helpful
No phone in room. Difficult to block out lights from car park. Some noise from pub next door
Under staffed in the bar area ..
Close to MK Dons
It was convenient for the shops
It was dated and noisy
The staff, they were very warm and helpful. I want to say a very big thank you to the friendly guy -Junior who was at the desk the night I checked in. The room was also very neat Will stay again!
Breakfast was very average - no cereals or fruit. Needs more thought
Clean comfortable room with good facilities. Breakfast was also very good
Did not sleep well due to proximity of noisey door from reception, when opened sounded as if someone was entering our room! Then additional noise of plumbing etc kept us awake.
I found the room I had was extremely comfortable and I really liked it. I was overlooking the barge marina which was lovely. The price was very reasonable also. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The bar attached to the hotel was just alright. It wasn't great. The food was just ok as well. A lot could be done with the place. There was nowhere to go to on foot as it appeared the location was remote. You had to get a taxi or drive to anywhere.
Friendly staff, really nice breakfast that's worth paying the extra for, the marina view.
Room was exceptionally clean including bathroom with spotless bath. Location next to canal was lovely.
Food was average at best but the system in place was bizarre. Never had to state carvery preference before seeing it! I'd stay here again but consider eating out.
Hotel was spotlessly clean and had a lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Excellent hotel, loved it!
If you wanted to walk to central Milton Keynes for shopping/restaurants then it is possible but a good 30 min walk! But taxi only costs a fiver so all good!
Inside the hotel was nice, rooms were nice and comfortable.
Breakfast was not great. no continental breakfast.. only frie up breakfast.. there was no cereal or you had to ask for it.. Location was not great.
Easy to find Central The Marina
It was great to wake up and have a beautiful view of the narrow boats moored outside our window. Very good linen and immaculate room. Nice too to have a full size bath.
Wished we had not eaten dinner at the carvery which was cold and impersonal. You had to pay for food at an incredibly noisy (karaoke bar) and then go back to the restaurant. Waitresses could take your money for dessert but not for main course. Food was dry and not very appetising.
Really helpful and friendly staff, clean room, a nice bed and good WiFi. Classic English breakfast in the restaurant and a nice bar right next door. MK hotels in general are somewhat expensive and public transport is not always available (you need a cab if you don't have a car or bike). This hotel offers good value for money.
Small rooms. Soulless.
Room OK with nice view on a quiet harbour with many long boats. Ample parking space, easy to get to with car/taxi. Internet wifi free and OK; room has a desk. Hotel relatively cheap compared to others. OK for a few nights.
The pub/bar/restaurant is so-so. Food was cheap at barmeal prices but for a business guest not a good place, more like your local pub. Location nice but need car/taxi to get to the MK centre.
The hotel has plenty of parking, very pleasant and helpful staff and well-furnished rooms. The shower was great with good pressure and very hot water. Do book the optional cooked breakfast, as it is great value for money and set me up for a day's traveling.
Good location with easy parking. Clean and all the facilities worked well
Limited restaurant options (but it was a Sunday evening)
