The 1851 Restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for its fine food. Cheshire salmon, Goosnargh duck and local beef feature on the table d’hôte and à la carte menus, or you can dine in the brasserie, in the former scullery of the castle.

Hotel information
This striking property is the realisation of the dreams of one man: Lord Tollemache, MP for Cheshire. He built Britain's grandest folly between 1844 and 1851. Standing atop a wooded hillside, its dramatic silhouette can be seen for miles across Cheshire. Today this magnificent building is the only Grade I listed Medieval castle in the UK.
Privately owned, it comprises of 48 recently refurbished en suite bedrooms and the new Falconry Encounter, home to a Golden Eagle.

The Head Chef, Mark Ellis' menus are based around locally sourced produce and this is reflected in the choice of suppliers to Peckforton Castle; the kitchen uses the Cheshire Smoke House, Burrows the award winning butcher in Bunbury, Williams of Flint for their Welsh Black Beef and fresh produce from the local farms.
The restaurant Manager and staff are on hand to cater to your every whim, whether it be formal or informal dining. If you are looking for your own private dining room to entertain family and friends or simply a romantic meal for 2 overlooking the grassed Ward area, you simply have to ask.

- Exit the M56 at junction 10 and follow signs for the A49 for Whitchurch.
- Pass Beeston Castle, the cattle market on your right and take your next right turn, signposted Peckforton Castle.
