Location, Fair value, good bed and good hot shower
the room was a fair size but curtains didn't fit windows properly. Could do with just a little bit of TLC
The room,it's convenient and cheap.I liked everything about it
There were no slippers or mop in the room.
The shower was nice, the location was ok and the staff were very nice.
Sadly the Window had a huge gap in it, and wouldn't shut. We were next to the main road and all we heard all night was cars, planes and ambulances. We didnt sleep hardly for the 2 nights we stayed.. Also our air con didnt work properly and our TV didnt work. But you cant expect too much for the price we paid.
OK beds and bathroom. OK for overnight sleeping. Good connections with bus to city.
Bad service - not possible even to buy a bottle of water, too cold or too hot in the room. Breakfast restaurant with noisy TV-set and cheap plastic chairs. No free wifi.
Bed, close to Brixton ACademy for that price, good value
Small rooms , lack of fridge, strong smell of cleaning detergents
We had a great stay at this hotel staff are always friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and modern, ive stayed in many hotels and this room was up to standards where ive paid 3 times more! Enjoyed our trip so much weve just booked again for feb ......see you soon Peckham lodge
Value for money.
A bit noisy at times with lots of young travellers
It cost me £36
The room is dirty, shower tray makes you feel dirtier than when you went in. Hair dryer didn't work in first room, then i switched to another room and the sink plug was blocked with hair and gunk. Definitely recommend paying a little more (£50-£60) for another hotel.
The foyer and rooms were well-lit and clean. The staff were very responsive to requests.
Distance from central London (but we were looking for very cheap accommodation!)
I liked stuff, cleanness, condition of bed.
WiFi should be included on the book. Simple service as a guest asks for cutlery even they dont asking for any service, it should be provide without questions.
We stayed there for two nights because we were going to see a band at Brixton accademy. It is only a short walk from the hotel to Peckham town centre and there are bus stops just outside hotel. We didnt expect much for the price and were pleasantly surprised, the rooms were clean with tea and coffee provided and the staff polite and friendly. I Would recommend this hotel for a cheap break in London.
Staff were really helpful and nice. Room we had on the second floor was very clean, warm and the shower was good. Good bus route. Generally very nice.
Breakfast not so good, but lovely staff. Location a bit out of the way. Bus 343 took us directly there though.
only 12min by train to Victoria Station, supermarkets nearby, good value for money
We stayed at this hotel for six days, enough to get an impression, which is great. Clean, new rooms, everything works, there are tea facilities in the room, the tea and the coffee supply is renewed daily. The location is great, 30 minutes on the bus to all the things to see in London. Definitely will stay there again.
Unreasonably high cost of breakfast. You can eat a large traditional English breakfast at the nearby pub at half of the cost.
Bedrooms where well presented
Rooms felt a bit small
Staff were nice and it was easy to check in. Good there is a cash point in the building.
Room was cold. Could have done with a thicker duvet for winter. Room wasnt particularly clean and there was dirt on the carpets. Had a chipped mug in tea making facilities with big crack down it so couldn't be used. It was okay but basic and paying for location not room! Also could have done with 2 room cards not 1.
The room could have been cleaner
Fine if you are on a budget or need to rest your head for one night. Not the worst place to stay just very small dingy and cramped.
The rooms are very small and the layout is similar to a hostel apart from you have your own private room and you are not sharing. Paid for a room with a window however the window was in tiny and in the ceiling the room felt a bit like a prison cell very enclosed small and cramped. Took me about 10 minutes to find my room with very unhelpful staff.
Up on the third floor everything was great, tea and coffee, tv, comfortable double bed, big bathroom, good value for money.
- Only problem in the first room was that I couldn't turn the shower heat down. Just a bit too hot for me and no matter what I did it never went lower. And the wifi would cut out every now and then because you're further away. - In the second room I stayed in down on the first floor the whole place smelled damp. THE ENTIRE FLOOR smelled of damp. The shower heat wouldn't go that high. The room was cold and there wasn't really a good heating system. There was a hole in the towels. And I don't mean a small one I mean a good two inches wide. Over all I would go back but would INSIST on getting a room on the top floor to avoid the damp.
Mould on curtains rain coming in from windows cold room very old and dated.
Noisy, uncomfortable (shower unuseful), dark, caotic breakfast.
Peckham Lodge is perfectly located for the city and is surrounded by its own brand of South East London charm and quirkiness. A budget hotel with friendly staff, a very clean room, TV and Wi - Fi and loads of foodie places nearby.
Bed was comfy but creaky. Minimal tea and coffee supplied and basic teacups, no spoon for stirring your drink. I travelled by car and had supplies, but not everyone carries cutlery. No instructions for air conditioning unit or details of any description. Maybe this could be addressed when checking in.
