The bed is big enough, toilet is clean and tidy.
The state of your pillows are degrading. It hurts due to the fact that its too small and very flat. You can hardly distinguish between the mattress and the pillow. The state of the carpet by the lift lobby.stairs and hallway stinks of damp. Tea cups provided with no spoon or stirer.
Good room equipment (clean towels, cosmetics, tea and coffee set, air conditioner, flat TV), comfortable bed, LIDL/Burger King and 24/7 shop near to the hotel, many bus lines.
Extra fees for wifi access and electricity switch. Piece of nacho on the floor and chewing gum under the shower - maids should pay more attention while cleaning.
The staff were very helpful. The rooms were basic but clean . It was excellent value for money
The only problem I found was the heating system on arrival the room was very cold. It took the room a long time to heat .
Clean, comfort, value for money
distance quite far to town
-Dirty rooms (beds + floor) -Location not convenience at all -No lift and need to carry own lugguage to basement or upstairs. -Service staff not friendly when we feedback on the cleanliness of the rooms and request to change. - No free wifi, paid wifi speed was slow. TV connection quality weak.
Not far from the centre where all the shops and takeaways were.
Very difficult to find a parking spot. Found one about half a mile away.
to pay for wi-fi
the room and the personel
Occasional funny smell in the lift.
The room was nicely warm.
The Bed should be changed.
Poor internet connection.
the neatness of the hotel and its location
The bed, the overall building; good transports
The receptionist whe I arrived seemed annoyed. On my departure, I had to wait several minutes because of "the system is resetting". I was there 2 nights with my wife and daughter and an additional night alone, when checking out from the triple room I left the baggage to the receptionist for checking in again in the afternoon for my single room. They asked me for the 2 pounds generally asked for keeping the baggage, although it was for re-checking in. In my hotel I would have never asked for an amount for keeping the baggage in such a situation.
I had staid here once before, and it was a much better experience. Our room back then was in the main building, the mattresses were much more confortable, they provided us with a good wifi service, and most important, when we got to the hotel our room was already warm and the heater worked perfectly. The location was also really convenient. We like it so much that we decided to repeat this year. It was a mistake. I don't know how the service and the quality of the hotel deteriorated so much in such a short time, but we will be not going back to Peckham Lodge any time soon.
The heater in our room didn't work. We told the staff and they asked us to o wait a little, because maybe it just needed some more time. We complained again half an hour later, because it still didn't work and the room was dead cold. It was 11 pm. We had arrived at 9:30, very tired from the journey, and we only wanted to sleep. Finally at 11:30 they brought a electric heater to our room. We tried to go to sleep then, but the room was so cold that it was impossible. Finally at midnight we had to go once again to the reception to ask for some blankets. They only give us one, but we were so tired that we let it go. I had to sleep with my coat on, and it took hours until the room got warm enought to be confortable.
I stayed here a few years back so was pleasantly surprised to find the room very neat and comfortable. staff very helpful. Nice clean shower.
Very comfortable bed, nice and not disturbing staff, tea/ coffee set in the room
If only wifi was free of charge would be great :)
The shower was blocked and water flooded the bathroom. It was a basement room overlooking refrigeration units and a wall.
The hotel is clean and the staff are really nice and helpful. We booked this hotel as we wanted to be close enough to Brixton academy and it was ideal. The room was basic but very clean.
The room was small and the beds oddly shaped but this wasn't really an issue and also for £45 a night, we weren't bothered.
Pleasant staff. Room was quiet with no outside noise. Bathroom recently refurbished. Bus stop almost directly outside. 5mins walk from train station. 20mins to get into Central London (at weekend) on public transport.
Room (with double bed) was a little cramped for space but this didn't spoil the stay.
Good sized rooms, comfy bed, great location did Brixton academy.
Cold shower (well no hot water at all), no toilet roll, lamps didn't work, tv remote didn't work.
In shower Was to hot water, wasn't possible to take a shower.
value for money (great room for such a low price) room was perfect size everything worked - kettle, shower, WiFi, air conditioning clean towels every day bus stop almost at the door to the centre of London cups, sugar, tea, coffee, milk
there were two cups, cofee, sugar, milk - and no teaspoons location is not superb but again - it is quite cheap comparing to better locations very flat pillows
